So here's the current situation: purchase of a range, delivery and installation of the same. The range is pretty close to DOA - starts overheating. BrandMart USA says they can't do anything, we need to talk to manufacturer. Manufacturer provides an authorization for exchange. We then try to reach out to Brandsmart to schedule an exchange and delivery. Guess what? The sales can't help, it has to be customer service. No problem, right? Wrong. Customer service won't pick up the phone. Try to access through the phone system for an hour before calling the sales line again and they try to patch me through, but ... shockingly, customer service won't pick up their lines either. Stay on hold with sales for 30 minutes more while this plays out before giving up. So ... days later, no love. This range is for my 90 year old grandmother, and she can't cook for herself and is now exhausting her limited fixed budget thanks to Brandsmart. So ... poor quality, literally non-existent customer support ... don't know what else to say. read more

This is absolutely the worst run business I have ever dealt with my entire life. The purchasing process, of course is easy enough. I purchased three appliances and only two were delivered. Here's where your problems began try calling their 800 number any phone number and try to get any human being on the phone. It is just a mindless maze of recordings and gridlock, which I have no time for. I spent 40 minutes this morning trying to resolve this with zero success I will never ever spend another penny at Brandsmart ever again and I will certainly encourage others not to do so either. This has to be THE MOST shady business I've seen. These people hang up on you, use foul language, and DO NOT respect the customer once that deal has been made. I bought a TV online from them to which they delivered, upon delivery the team stated they needed to open the box to make sure it worked... I thought that was strange as they weren't installing it or anything. I asked them ok if you turn it on and it works there may be other issues that I could still return it without any problems correct? They said Yes of course. I decided to return the tv due to poor black levels and an overall clunky/slow menu experience, it just was not up to the standards I had for an expensive TV. I went to initialize a return which is what brings me up to the RUDE customer service. I chatted online as there is NO return function like a Best Buy etc., so the person on chat told me I need to send an "email" to the customer service address and they will get back to me within 24 hours, 24 hours came and went so I decided to call the number. After I spoke to someone and asked them about a return they said to send the email and also "I don't have anyone here right now that could help you", after that they hung up on me... I called back about an hour later and spoke to a woman who seemed she was more inclined to help me. She took my order number and told me that there would be a 39.99 pick up fee (it's a large TV) and I said well ok, then she stated also a 20% restocking fee! I asked where on your website or return policy does it state flat panel TV's are subject to 20% restocking fees, I read it cover to cover. She said if you look on Flat Panels it says it, I said do you have it in front of you? Please read it to me, then some man got the phone and rudely stated "that is our policy , it's not our fault you didn't like the TV". I then politely asked ok, can you please read to me where you are seeing that infromation, he said it's right there on the website (he is referring to where it says at the beginning of the return/exchanges policy "a restocking fees may be due for some items" I said, well, where is it written what these "some items" are? Usually this is reserved for cell phones, activated devices etc., I said if you can point that out to me that would be helpful, guess what, he just hung up (again). I received an email from that initial email I sent days before, stating very nicely, yes sir no problem we can schedule a pickup of the TV but it would be $59.99 (mind you a difference price now) for the pickup fee and it will be deducted from the value you paid for the TV and to let them know so they can schedule it. As much as I was inclined to say ok go ahead, I wrote back, "so ok it's now 59.99 vs 39.99 but there is no restocking fee attached to this correct as NOT stated on your website for flat panel TV's". They wrote back the next day... stating "if the box has not been opened no, otherwise if it has been opened there will be a 20% restocking fee" -- They literally open the TV upon delivery to "check it", they stated it was their policy. I come to find out they also open the TV or items upon buying them in store as well lol. Mind you this "checking" consists of plugging it in and seeing snow on the screen, they have no idea how to check a TV (at least the delivery guys that came to my house), wow... PSA: Buy from BrandsMart at your own risk. In my opinion and many others it is not worth the risk for the small price delta you may achieve vs going to a Best Buy/Amazon. They know exactly what they are doing opening the boxes etc., it's NOT to benefit you. Think about how many times do TV's actually come DOA, it's probably in the 95% percentile that it doesn't happen. I called Brandsmart about my warranty and to have a service tech fix an issue with my fridge. My appointment was set for June 1st which was a Saturday. I was told they would call me before that date on Friday May 31st but no one did. I called sat morning and finally was told that the tech would be out later that day. I had taken the day off from work to take care of this issue. The tech (Louis) arrived, saw the model of the fridge, said he knows about the issues that fridge has, tried to open the ice maker (which he couldn't) and said he'd notify the service center that the issue couldn't be fixed. The tech arrived and left in a total of two mins (see attached pics). I called today to see what the next step in this process of rectifying the situation and was told I'd have to set up another appointment. If the issue could have been fixed the tech wouldn't have stayed only two mins. I now have to take another day off and miss out on money just for another tech to come and give me the same results because the tech has already said it's a known issue. Also calling into the service center is a horrible experience. The language barrier and difficulty understanding even though I pressed 1 for English was crazy. Being a property developer my husband and I regularly have to buy air con units, fridges, washing machines, cookers etc etc. I love the lay out of the store and we always like to check the specials area, as sometime you can get a good discounted item, with may have a small scratch on it/ or ex display. We always come to this store to see what we can get. However we always check other stores too, to get the best deal price wise. The customer service though is pretty hit and miss. Like for example today we asked what was actually in stock for a cooker and the gentleman serving us said let me check and never came back. This has happened to us before here. What a SCAM! If you are thinking about buying an appliance from Brandsmart, think twice about buying an extended warranty. I bought a side by side refrigerator for $1200. I purchased a two year warranty. When you purchase the refrigerator it comes with a one year warranty and I purchased an extra two years. They are supposed to use the Brandsmart one year warranty first, then start using your extended warranty. I had a problem with my ice maker and they gave me all kinds of lies and run around. They said BOTH warranties were in effect as of the date of purchase. Now doesn't that sound stupid? I bought the refrigerator 3/23. As of 3/24 my extended warranty should have kicked in until 3/26. In the end they refused my service request saying my warranty expired as of 3/25. I got my receipt as proof of what I purchased. Actually the receipt says 60 months! I paid $129 for the extended warranty and got nothing. I contacted the administration office and got no response. On July 17th after going thru the runaround for three weeks, I finally got a response from Mayra, customer service representative, stating my two year warranty was expired. That was the end of that. So Beware, get a copy of your warranty and be clear about the coverage dates. I know what I paid for and I know what I got, NOTHING!!!! Customer service is ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS! The first day of delivery, Monday, my window was 9am-12noon. According to the ticket I was the second stop. The delivery truck shows up at noon on the dot. Unfortunately they were unable to deliver as the townhouse has stairs. (Did anyone ask about stairs when delivering?) The 2 person crew only does deliveries with out stairs. The delivery man calls and reschedules on speaker phone with me for a return date on Wednesday 9-12noon Wednesday I I'm up at 8 (keep in mind I work nights so I've had 4 hours of sleep again). I call to confirm delivery and a 4 man crew. The customer service agent is unpleasant from the start and continues to get more and more rude and upset with me as I'm trying to confirm. She can't find my order number based on the number I give her. "That can't be the order number it's too long!" I'm reading it off the last text message i I received.. which calls it an order number.. puts me on hold for 10 min. Comes back to tell me it's been rescheduled for Thursday. She's angry that I ask for the correct order number in case I have to call back and quickly hangs up with out answering my questions. I call back to confirm that my delivery is for the next day and that it definitively has a 4 person crew, between 9-noon. I ask if I'll receive a confirmation text message and tracking. That night I get the confirmation text and the links to confirm and track. I confirm the delivery. Thursday morning I miss 3 calls before 730am. (Again I work nights). I wake up at 830 and call. . I'm put on hold. And transferred. And put on hold. And transferred. And put on hold and transferred. I received a delivery date and also received two text messages including the day of delivery that the item will be delivered between 11:30 -2:30. on that day I tracked my order it said I was stop #7 and after another tracing it gave the time of 3:10 = 3:40. close to 3:40 I checked the tracking and it said they completed stop 8 and no time given. I called the warranty department, they took my information and according to them the technician would arrive, I waited for him for a week, Mr. YURI finally arrived, checked the unit and told me that according to his knowledge I had to order a part that I didn't have in my car. Well, I had to wait another week for the part, the next week (without the unit) he arrived with the part that would solve the problem... guess what happened??? According to YURI, they ordered the wrong part. We purchased a refrigerator from Brandsmart because there was a rebate opportunity at the time of purchase. I submitted all of the requested information during the rebate request online. We still have not received the rebate, so I checked online for the status only to discover that the claim was denied because they did not receive "needed" information within a certain timeframe. I never received an email, a phone call, or a letter through regular mail requesting more information. If more details are needed for the rebate, then that should've been required during the initial rebate request. That rebate was the only reason we chose to purchase that product at Brandsmart. Let me start off by saying I bought a dishwasher with an extended warranty (4 year warranty) that cost me roughly about $1K. You would think you have all your bases covered until you have a problem and encounter the scam you paid for. We have been dealing with this issue for 3 months now & a long grueling process of never ending excuses & unprofessionalism. Every technician that comes out gives a different answer. Technician 1 came and ran a 5 minute diagnostic, said the dishwasher was fully functioning and left.. only to receive the same error code as soon as he left. The technician alone was extremely combative, pompous & unwilling to listen to our concerns. Technician 2 was extremely helpful & hands-on. He found the issue with the dishwasher & ordered parts.. he also gave us the model # of the parts so we knew exactly what was going on, in case we received any pushback. This was the case. Technician 3 came out and ran a diagnostic, WITH the parts in hand and said he would not replace the parts because the diagnostic came back clean!! Although, his reason for coming out was to fix the parts to begin with. Gave no concrete answers & left without saying anything else. Technician 1&3 didn't even pull out the dishwasher to examine it properly. At this point if I could reach anyone who could help me, I would! Do not get fooled. BrandsMart are professional SCAMMERS! I went with a friend and we had to beg to get someone to come help us. As it was a very nice lady was attending someone else and decided to help out when it looked like no one else was going to show up. Next, the cashiers were backed up and it was such a slow process to get even the smallest things rung up. They really need to imporove the delivery time between picking something out and paying for it. The warehouse pick-up was delayed, rounding out yet another part of the ordeal. So what should have taken 15 to 30 minutes turned out to be a 45 to an hour fiasco. My mother and I ordered a 29" washer online and when it was delivered it couldn't fit past our door. So we went to the store and approached 3 salespeople (1 woman, 2 men). We explained we bought a washer, had delivery return it and now we wanted to exchange for another. Upon hearing that, all three fluttered away like frightened birds. We looked around on our own and was approached by saleswoman, Stephanie Vargas. As she was helping us, the initial sales lady we met, attempted to discourage Stephanie from helping us in Spanish. (I understood some of what she said). Despite that, Stephanie continued to help us, which the both of us really appreciate. Now it wasn't easy. Whenever we picked out a model, it happened to be on back order and whenever Stephanie picked out a model, we just didn't like it. This went on for a good while. Every time we were ready to leave, halfway out the door, Stephanie would call us back determined to help us find what we wanted. We ultimately did. But to make the final sale worth it, Stephanie elicited the help of manager David Luciano, who came and saved the day. He helped us with the final sale, and to save us time from having to wait on the refund from the online purchase, the two of them together used store credit from said online purchase and before we knew it, we left the store highly satisfied! Stephanie Vargas and David Luciano helped make, what would have been a bad experience with Brandsmart USA a good one. Thank you very much for that!!! read more

One of the joys of an older home is needing to replace the window AC every 8 years plus or minus. (But hey, no condo board napoleons so all in all a win!) Based on previous experience I went to Brandsmart. Jean was my sales rep this time and he was helpful as far as picking out an efficient unit that would fit in the existing opening, and keep my room sub-arctic for a good price. I asked about installation services, and he pointed out that they subcontract with a third party - TCI Tri City Installations. Unlike another major electronics retailer (name begins with a B) the installer is allegedly an independent company and you have to pay them separately. The closing of the sales transaction is where Brandsmart gets a little confusing and why my review isn't higher. Jean handed me off to go pay. First, you go to a sales queue where there is a line straight to each cash register (even if another lane opens before the one you stood opens.) Do you want store credit? Then you need to go to a second area, where I filed out a credit application (by hand!!) and waited for them to run it. I got a pretty good deal as far interest-free. I would hope that sometimes down the line they make payment and transactions a little more efficient. Oh, and let's try incorporating the payment for the installer no? I'm taking a guess the splits are a way to make customer service a little more challenging, based on the other reviews I have read. When you give them your email to complete the transaction, you get sales email (aka SPAM) every. single. day. Not even the richest man in the world buys appliances and electronics every day. Delivery and installation is where my review goes downhill. It was scheduled for August 1 per my receipt. I called the day before since I hadn't been given a time frame, and I find out they didn't have the item in stock and the delivery would have to be rescheduled until the 3rd. They did call the day before the 2nd time to give a time frame, but apparently no one thought that replacing a window AC might need two employees. Now my service is rescheduled a THIRD time. I am putting this as 2 stars for now and will adjust later depending on how and if my installation actually happens. UPDATE 8/5/18 to their credit they promised to give back $30 toward the purchase cost of the air conditioning unit. UPDATE #2 8/14/18 Due to the multiple issues with delivery, I canceled the order. To their credit, they did refund the complete amount of the purchase. However, this was after multiple contacts and average 15 minute hold times. My advice is to only purchase at this store what you can take on the spot and install yourself! read more

I purchased a laptop here the end of August I came back to return it because the laptop wasn't fast enough to my liking, I was helped by Maria.B at the return center and really had a frustrating experience. She was very unhelpful, wouldn't listen to the situation at hand with the computer, made me have to come back the next day even though my computer was in the restarting stage! However the next day was such a smooth and nice process I was helped by two people Octavia.M and Rey.C and had a totally different experience they helped me reset the computer, they listened to why I was returning it and followed the protocol of making sure I had everything there, they made sure the computer was returnable and returned it! Be careful when you buy from Brandsmart. I spent almost $1000 on a Dishwasher and have been making constant complaints to Brandsmart and their warranty company from the day we bought it. Just had them out here again on Friday.
