I am usually very happy with how our photos turn out, but the images Cynthia captured are hands-down the best family photos we have ever had. When we knew we would be in Maui this fall, I was determined to have our family photos done there. After searching Yelp and reviewing photographers, I came across Cynthia's work and immediately fell in love with her style. I reached out for a quote and she responded the very next day. From the start, she was friendly, informative, and incredibly easy to work with. Once we booked, she sent several location options, and we chose Napili Bay. It ended up being the perfect spot for our family. On the day of the shoot, Cynthia was warm, kind, and so much fun to work with. She made the entire experience feel relaxed and effortless, and she was especially wonderful with our nine-year-old son, easily coaxing genuine smiles and making him feel comfortable the whole time. The final photos absolutely blew us away. Not only are they stunning, natural, and full of personality, but Cynthia also went back into the images and removed strangers from the beach so it looked like we had the entire beach to ourselves. On top of that, we received all of the digital images to keep, which was such a huge bonus. She was also super affordable, even by Hawaii standards, and truly worth every penny. We had planned a Maui baby moon and after doing…read moreextensive research on photographers, I decided to go with Love & Water due to their breathtaking portfolio and unique style. We were lucky enough to get a sunset slot on a busy holiday weekend just booking a few days in advance, but would recommend booking a few weeks out if you can. Adam was our photographer and we appreciated his laid back and easygoing nature and his ability to coax out some smiles from our toddler who hates posing for photos. I rented the Kasia Kulenty Selena gown in sand as well as brought my own dress, and was able to easily do an outfit change at the beach. It was nice to have a rental gown for photos in the water since you didn't have to worry about it getting wet / sandy. We opted for the Sand & Seashells package (30 mins for a family of 3 was enough time to get in family pics, pics of my toddler, as well as solo maternity pics) and we also had limited time due to the sun setting. We were thrilled with our preview photo which came the next day, as well as the rest of the gallery which was ready 3 weeks after. Love & Water did an amazing job editing the sand to get the look that we wanted and just let the gorgeous, natural colors of the sunset shine through. We opted to upgrade the entire gallery for $150 additional and will cherish those photos for a lifetime!

We first worked with Tim in March 2025 for our maternity shoot, and it was such a great experience that we booked him again in February 2026. In 2025 it was just the three of us, my wife, our 4 year old daughter, and me, with our baby boy still in my wife's belly. This year it was so special to come back with our son, now 9 months old and work with Tim again. He is not only a very talented photographer, but also incredibly detailed and professional. We booked a mini session with Ty for an early time slot as we have two littles, 10 mo old and 3 year old. Ty was so great with helping us move our scheduled date last minute and then also being so patient and kind with our kids while we tried to take family photos. He was so great with getting our kids excited! Our photos turned out so amazing, much better than we expected given the challenges and coordination of our kids.
