We were first directed to Ryan Road Auto in late 2014, and our initial interactions impressed us so much that we've given them our business another half-dozen time since. The guys at this shop have been nothing but helpful, empathetic, patient, and kind to me and my family. I've received quotes for everything from brakes to O2 sensors, and they consistently come in significantly below their local competitors. They stand by their work and value their customers in a very visible, tangible way, and I've come to appreciate their availability immensely. I've only needed to go elsewhere once, when same-day attention wasn't possible, and let's just say that in the future, I'll do my best to wait for the best. Strongly recommend these guys. You can trust them with your keys and your wallet.

I went in and Greg was the man who helped me out by doing what I needed along with something with the valve stem. I'm never too sure when going into a automotive place by myself but never once did I feel like I was going to get jipped by this place. He did what I asked and didn't try to sell me anything else which I was thankful for. The service was also really quick!!! [THE BAD] The first day I called this place to make an appointment. The man I spoke to didn't sound too friendly... maybe because they were all tied up but he told me to bring it in the next day & that's just what I did and sure enough, they were ready & willing to help me out! [THE UGLY] Nada. [& THE BONUS] Greg took my car for spin to test out my new tires and came back with my car all nice & clean! WILL TOTALLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO FAMILY & FRIENDS!

I have been taking my 1973 Pontiac GTO and my 1958 Chevy Impala to Bruce at Franklin Automotive for…read moreabout 8 years now. I always have great dialogue with Bruce about maintenance, repairs, and enhancements I am planning and executing on my two classics. Right now, we are planning for a crate motor and 700R4 transmission for my Impala this coming winter. Bruce, along with Norm, do most of the classic car work at Franklin. Bruce is always realistic and fair with me about costs, timelines, and has vast experience with a broad array of classic cars from "The Big Three". Every time I go there, I see anywhere from 3-4 other classic cars on lifts or being worked on. And Bruce is not just stuck in the past with "old-think" about these classics. He's up on new-tech as well. He put a new Dakota Digital dash in my Impala and now we're discussing the benefits of EFI vs. carburetors, even though he might be the best carb guy around. Another thing I like about Bruce is that he owns two classic cars himself so he is a fellow enthusiast who shares with me the passion of the hobby I love so much. Finally, and this may not matter to some, but Bruce is deeply involved with the Lions Club and I respect the fact he volunteers in that capacity (I am not in that nor any such endeavor myself). There are a lot of wanna-bees out there who hack on old cars. Or high-end shops that charge an arm-and-a-leg. That's not here. Now go and get that dream car on Ebay Motors with confidence that: 1. It will have issues (that's just the hobby). 2. Bruce can handle them.

I asked about price difference, they said, " we never charged you only $120". I told him I had the receipt yet and he didn't want to hear it. Not to mention they have a young punk take your vehicle for a joy ride. Came back 15 minutes later. Just a warning consumers. I told the guy I was worried something was going to be stolen. My conscience is clear now.

Told me to come back and they'd finish up. Said something about needing to work on a race car. I brought the car back, but they then decided they couldn't help me without an astronomical (more than $500) additional bill. They were going to weld something, but then decided they couldn't. I never would have had them do the work they did if I'd realized that their estimate was so far off. I OK'd the estimate to begin with assuming that the problem would be fixed. I eventually went elsewhere to get the problem solved at a more reasonable cost. Also, I had them do an oil change and they put the wrong weight oil in my car. I just can't recommend this place. Maybe I hit them on an off day or something, as I went here on recommendation of a co-worker, but meh...
