Very professional and did a great job on my root canal. I had a flare up of some pain two days later and had to have the on call staff have my dentist call me. I didn't want to disturb his weekend, but he was very nice. He explained why it might be flaring up, told me what medication to use, including a prescription antibiotic and Tylenol every 6 hours. It worked and I didn't have any more pain. This may be a bit of a detailed review, but I can't stress enough how caring and professional they were. I would go to them again if I had any future needs.

He even jiggled my cheek while injecting lidocaine which tricks your brain to not feel the pain I appreciated that he uses a dental dam so you don't end up swallowing the yuk produced by drilling or any other products! I was completely relaxed and suffered no pain! Dr Sandlin is amazing! He worked quickly! The root canal when finished was perfectly beautiful on the Xray! The short version is that I didn't need a root canal. The Dr's examination of my teeth and a small test she did told her that. However, in addition to the exam, I was billed for an expensive mouth scan that proved completely unnecessary given the exam results. Instead of doing the exam and then determining next steps, I paid for a scan first without them ensuring it was really needed. This practice was more interested in increasing the billable services. Although this scan was not covered by insurance, so I incurred the full cost, the truth is, they shouldn't be unnecessarily stuffing bills, no matter who is putting the money in their pockets.

The earliest they could get me in for the procedure was a month later. But I was given pain meds and an antibiotic, so no problem...and the tooth calmed down. Now, after waiting a month, I get a phone call. Oops! We made a mistake! With your insurance, you would be out-of-network and your out-of-pocket cost will be FIVE TIMES what we quoted you over 3 weeks ago. There's no excuse for this type of incompetence. Dr. Sims has managed to put together one of the best teams I have ever seen in my 25 years of management experience. Everyone is lovely to deal with. It is obvious after visiting a few times that the employees enjoy and respect each other. Not just by helping each other out so that clients do not wait and are completely informed, but wearing a smile and attitudes that they truly enjoy their jobs. They are so cohesive and efficient. I, personally would like to recognize Lauren, Lindsey and Dr. Jenkins. They all treated me with great attitudes and seemed to really enjoy and listen to what I was talking about rather it was related to my treatment or personal. I have been extremely satisfied with my experience with this practice. As someone who does not usually like a visit to the dentist, I completely forget my purpose for being there. Some of the pluses are wi-fi, Keurig coffee, cold water and health bars. They also have plush throw blankets if you find the temperature too cold for your comfort.. In addition, my root canal and temporary crowns have worked out well and I soon will be completely pain free with beautiful, new and lasting permanent crowns.
