This is not your father's tattoo shop. When I first walked into the shop it felt like a very natural environment with chill energy. There weren't walls of flash tattoos, dried pools of spilled ink, it was beyond clean, and it was a pleasant experience from the moment I walked in until the moment I left. I scheduled my appointment well in advance, probably about six months in advance due to the waitlist and let me tell you what, get on that waitlist ASAP because it is entirely worth it! Communication was effective from the time I first set up the appointment, which is nice. I received exactly what I asked for, after providing a couple images for reference. I had a bad experience receiving a smaller tattoo on my chest/collarbone area before, and I was so trepidatious about this appointment. I didn't sleep well the three days beforehand. All of the anxiety, worry, and stress melted away once I walked into the studio and upon for first being seated for cleaning and to receive my stencil. I've also had some fairly horrible experiences over the last decade of being tattooed, with artists dominating the conversation and talking about things of little interest to me, like one artist who spoke for over a half of inking my first outer forearm tattoo about being an amateur hockey goalie; but conversation with these gals was fun and relatable and really put me at ease. The décolletage is indicated to be one of the most painful areas to receive a tattoo, and I can honestly say this is one of the least painful tattoos I received and I truly felt as energized and refreshed afterwards as if I had been at the spa. Branded Tattoo and Piercing is such an inclusive shop for people of all ages, genders, preferences, etc and I'm beyond excited to see my mermaid crest (recently named Aurora) healed and decide my next piece for my already scheduled upcoming appointment (including piercings!), which will be in the new studio! I was so excited to get a new tattoo and Chelsea exceeded my expectations. She just opened this business a few months ago and it looks fabulous inside and out. Cleanliness is obviously a big deal to the girls who work here, even in the nooks and crannies; everywhere was spotless. I had great vibes the whole time I was there, Chelsea is great at easing nerves with causal conversation that never feels awkward. Her rates are totally reasonable and she's a fantastic artist as well; I can't wait to go back again. Highly recommend, 10/10. read more
