The class size was limited to a good number so as to keep things intimate. I really enjoyed the theme and hearing from the other moms. Between the mat setup with blankets, the exercise balls, the nursing pillows, and the basket full of toys, my daughter and I had everything we needed to have a great time! I also really loved the "goodbye song." I definitely be signing up for a package of classes. This group is unlike any other mommy group around (in a good way)!

They were this weekly calming force in what was otherwise a kind of chaotic "omg what do I do with this baby!!!" year of my life. And as if that wasn't enough, they make different gourmet snacks paired with wine for every class. Uh, yeah. You read that correctly. The group of women was fantastic. It was a great way to meet other westside moms and get your baby some interaction with other babies. I made friends and my baby made friends, how can you beat that? I owe some of my closest "mom friends" to this group. In summary, my one-year-old and I give this group a collective four thumbs up :)

I was looking back over some of the…read moreinformation from our sessions to discuss with a friend just now, and was reminded how transformational this process with you was for my daughter and I. It has been about two years I think at this point, and I am still talking about what a helpful turning point your support was during a challenging time. My daughter and I have been through unbelievable and tragic/chaotic life circumstances at times since, and are still overall both doing really well and connecting in health ways - living our best lives in a weird world! I am technically an expert in all of this, and was still just struggling, so I cannot give enough positive and true feedback on this process with you. Thanks again for everything, and figured better late than never, lol!

The idea here is that parenting is more of a self-centric (and partner-centric) exercise; throughout the program, Cassidy was responsive, flexible and very empathetic. What it does is give you a framework for how to make decisions about parenting. It fills in knowledge gaps around what our kids need. The content from Jai Institute for Parenting is good, but honestly it's Cassidy that makes the whole thing worthwhile. If you're at the point where you're even exploring a "parenting coach" then working with Cassidy may be exactly what you're looking for.

I would like to address the review that said Jana used a false testimonial. She is the most trustworthy, open, honest, person I know and under no circumstances would she ever do or make anyone feel or write a false testimonial. She has educated and loved hundreds of woman and I have never heard not one complain about her. She has one of the most kind hearts you can imagine. Just trust in your heart and take her class and you will see how kind she is. You will not be disappointed. I have taken her classes. I have done the birthing class and doula training. Jana only has love to give. She's a beautiful soul. Im sure the hundreds of woman will agree. Regarding the dogs she is very aware and asks everyone about the dogs. If it bothers or annoys anyone she handles it. She is not insensitive. Throughout the whole class she is on top of the dogs behavior. The bottom line is if you want to be really informed go to Jana's class because you won't be disappointed. Your birthing experience will be much better in my eyes because you will be so much more informed because of the knowledge that Jana teaches you. Trust your heart not one bad review. Love you Jana. From the very first session, she created an environment that felt warm, safe and supportive. Her calm, reassuring presence and deep knowledge helped ease so many of my fears around birth. Jana brought a wealth of experience into the class, which made me feel informed, empowered, and much more confident about giving birth (I'm 39 weeks pregnant now and I'm confident I want to give birth with no epidural). But beyond the facts and techniques, what made the biggest impact was how she made me feel supported. She always made space for questions and concerns with compassion and wisdom. I know I can call her anytime if I have doubts or questions. This class didn't just teach me about childbirth, it helped me believe in myself in this journey! I'm so grateful for Jana's guidance and heart. I truly couldn't have asked for a better teacher.

My husband and I took several classes at Village Birth leading up the birth of our baby, and I found my amazing lactation consultant, Hideko, after taking a very informative breastfeeding class with Yvonne. Hideko was an invaluable resource to me after the baby was born and continued to be for many months afterward. There was no way I would be able to breastfeed as long as I have if it weren't for her. Separately, I worked with prenatal chiropractor Dr. Jenny Stofer as well, who is also part of the Village Birth group now. I had experienced quite a bit of discomfort in my back during my pregnancy and she always made me feel at ease, listened to my concerns, and took care of any issues I had quickly and gently. I always left my sessions with her feeling energized, supported and like my baby had more room in there! It was incredible. Village Birth is made up of such a thoughtful, supportive and kind group of individuals who are talented and passionate about their work. If you're nearby and having a baby, it is the best place for top notch care and information!

My first circle it was very intimidating being the only POC there.
