Thank You to the front office staff, like Ms. Roxy, the teachers (our son had the best teachers,…read moreMrs. Cox, Mrs. Watanabe, Mrs. Allavi- no longer there, Mrs. Carlos, Mrs. Derby, and Ms. Johnson), the Vice Principal, and the Principal, Mr. Derasmo; I must say since he has been with this school, so many things have improved. I must also mention the speech teacher, Ms. DiGiambattista; she worked with him at every grade level and he was released/graduated from his IEP later in the year, 5th grade. Thank You to her, as well. Mr. O'Sullivan introduced Ukelele Club to the school, and we attended the concert this past tuesday morning. Thanks to him. I must also mention the Librarian, Ms. Witalka, for her years of service. She assists students with the Book Fairs, which seemed to be a bit more frequent than in my day (twice a year). Today was the fifth grade Promotion ceremony. After hearing all of the speeches, I was getting reminded that our son has been attending this school since Kindergarten, with Mrs. Cox, so for six years, our son has been here, and it is bittersweet (he is moving on to middle school). I am so glad that we moved to the area, and enrolled him into this school. He had so many good teachers! I want to give everyone Kudos here! (Not many people know me, they know my husband more, since he is the day to day go-to parent. But I really want to express our gratitude for your contribution in shaping young minds. The teaching culture is very strong here.) Ms. Johnson, our son's fifth grade teacher, was phenomenal, incorporating fun into her lessons. Her classroom's theme was Star Wars. She had some challenges but she worked through all of them and really put her heart and soul into teaching. She promised the class if they all made an improvement, a goal that they'd work towards, that she'd reward them with a Panda Express Party. This was with her own money. We really appreciate her. This year also had two field trips, to their possible middle school, Lawrence, and to the Smith Center, to see a presentation. I will also mention the Fun Run and Olympics Field Day (the classes represented a country, like Sri Lanka), that was fun to see. I am lucky that hubby has taken lots of video, so we can remember these moments, to relive them, so to speak. Also, his pictures for the Raiders Camp were used in the Yearbook. Again, we express our sincere gratitude to all of you there at Roger M. Bryan who impacted our son's life in a positive way. Many many thanks to you!

My daughter did not enjoy this school because staff and teachers were very rude to her, and she came home everyday with something new to complain about. My daughter was bullied the whole year this year nonstop. She took yearbook photos and as I was looking at her and her class I seemed to notice that everyone's picture was bright and colorful while hers is dark and grey and dull. If you're thinking of enrolling your child into this school please put my review into thought.

Principal Gerry Born is the best principal ever! Very attentive and very engaging with both teachers, students and parents. The teachers are spectacular! They really care about educating the children. They make sure they make it a fun environment, so the children feel at ease. Making it easier for them to learn new information. This school seems very advanced and up to date with their teachings and their technology. Since attending this school, I've noticed my child is a bit more advanced on the academic side compared to her other peers that go to regular in person public schools. Nothing against public schools, this school just works out for us as a family. This school uses real life scenarios in their quarterly projects. For example, they need to research about their dream vacation and how much it cost in real time and create a budget, etc. Surprisingly, as parents, after realizing her dream vacation was definitely more doable budget wise, we were able to actually take her on that dream vacation in less than a year's time. It not only teaches the students, but every assignment and project teaches us as parents as well. We highly recommend this charter school.

My daughter is 8, dx ASD, Dyspraxia with possible ID. She also struggles with hypotonia and hyper mobility. Life definitely is not easy for her, HOWEVER Nick (OT) and Vicki (ST) are making things more manageable and easier for her. Mr. Nick is powered by Starbucks and love for what he does. It shows every single therapy session as he switches things up, engages and encourages my child all the while motivating her to do more. As my 8 year old has told me many times "Mr. Nick is so cool and awesome!" lol. I think she would do OT every day with Mr. Nick if she could! In 6 months, my child has made HUGE noticeable progress. And best of all, SHE notices it. Us special needs parents know the overwhelming feeling of watching your child struggle, yet not knowing how to help. Now my daughter can do things she couldn't or wouldn't before and she beams with pride each time she does. Confidence in herself and trust in her body and judgement is a priceless gift. Ms. Vicki is knowledgeable, kind and willing to work with your child in whatever way will benefit. She is open to suggestions, encouraging and full of praise for every single victory, big or small. At my daughter's eval my child was using 2-3 word phrases, now she is up to 5-6. This is in only 3-4 months time. And the speech sessions are full of activities including words, talking etc. obviously, but have also included physical activity and just general fun. Again, whatever it takes to engage the child is how she operates. As a side note, we are self paying for these services. Everything is out of pocket. The prices are the least expensive I have found. It's astonishing to me, because at the level of therapy provided, the therapists could definitely be charging more. And we pay for an hour session. This is a FULL 60 minutes of therapy. It's not 45 or 50 of therapy and then 10 of paperwork. The therapists are not leaving our house until the full hour of therapy is done. They will answer questions, give suggestions or take recommendations during therapy, but at no time does the child's therapy suffer. This is one of the best decisions we have made for our daughter and I am so thankful for Mr. Nick and Ms. Vicki!

No mention was made of needing a doctor's note. 8/28/2025: She attended with no issues. 8/29/2025: Staff said she could not return without a doctor's note for: "Rash all over" (actually mild eczema) "Green mucus" (never observed, no proof provided) They also claimed they had told my husband she couldn't return, which he denies. She only had clear nasal discharge. Due to scheduling/cost, I couldn't get a doctor that day, so she stayed home. 8/31/2025: Virtual visit with NowClinic (Theresa Hilton-Berger, APRN). Diagnosis: eczema, likely allergies, no green mucus, cleared to return. 9/2/2025: I provided the doctor's note. Staff were rude, falsely claimed I slammed the door. Later, I was called again and told she had dark green mucus and could not return without an in-person doctor's note -- rejecting the licensed provider's virtual clearance. The director also claimed: My husband was previously informed (he denies). She had photo evidence of mucus (never shown). Meanwhile, the director herself was visibly sick at work. I took my daughter to urgent care -- doctor again confirmed no green mucus, only mild eczema. 9/3/2025: Daycare called CPS on me despite both doctors clearing her. The director is also now requesting a self-harm evaluation. While I signed the paperwork, I have serious concerns, as my daughter's mild past behaviors have resolved and are only being reported at daycare -- never at home. My son previously attended with no issues, but under new management we've faced poor communication, contradictory statements, and what feels like unfair treatment toward my daughter. I'm deeply concerned about the classroom environment. Note: I would not recommend this daycare under the current leadership! They used to be my favorite when Gina was there.

HORRIBLE STAFF & OWNER. THEY WILL SCREW YOUR CHILDREN OVER. RUN!!!!…read more Hi Lorrie, We have waived the fees for the evaluations because of the situation so you will not be financially responsible for the evaluations that were already conducted. When Colleen informed you that the boys are "good to go," she was referring to us having a script and having all paperwork completed. We are out of network and you know this information as you have received services with us in the past as well and you know we are out of network. INFORMATION FOR PARENTS: My son hadn't been at Speech House for a long time. The owner (Maria) took a 2-month break. We had a 7-year treatment history with her. After her request she rarely answered emails. I tried to start services again, she would say we could start soon, disappear again, and then lie about not getting emails. This was not only affecting my child, but incredibly disrespectful. I finally gave up. Over a year later the occupational therapist for BOTH my boys tells me she is transferring from her current company to Speech House in 2 months and transferring clients with her. She been our therapist for years. This is when I'm also told the owner (Maria) now has an army of office staff. I realize she's been spending her time creating a puppy mill business. This was her concern instead her clients. I'm also offered speech again with us moving over, but with a different therapist. For the next two month's the OT keeps telling me everything is "good to go" according to Speech House. We are asked to get referrals from our pediatrician and provided our insurance information. I'm never contacted further by the office. Then the day before the change my insurance calls to let me know this company is OUT of network THE SAME DAY authorization is sent by Speech House. Knowing this beforehand they said nothing. They waited until the day before the change to send this to our insurance! Later the owner (above) attempts to blame parents for not knowing who she is currently contract with for insurance. At the time when my insurance called, I immediately reached out to the Speech House. They casually offered to switch to "cash pay" for $600 monthly, like it's no big deal. I was placed in a horrible position. Do this or loose services. You can wait a year or more to replace lost therapy. I have two boys and two different therapies now at stake. But I had no choice but to decline cash paying. Only then did they offer to do a letter of agreement with my insurance so they would be paid as "in network. But they wanted me to do it for them. I stop my workday to spend hours dealing with the situation. Our insurance then advised I could not negotiate an agreement on behalf of Speech House. Plus, the current authorization must be canceled. A letter of agreement cannot be done if out of network service is authorized. I call Speech House again and provide this information to contact our carrier directly. I get an attitude as if I'm putting them out after putting me in this situation. An approval response is 10 days. I'm told they will handle this. Our OT then calls the office as well to follow up and was discouraged from being involved. Two weeks later I get an email telling me to approve the previous authorization again, which I remind them that's approving cash pay and a letter of agreement was to be requested. The next week I'm sent another email stating BOTH my children's spots for OT AND SPEECH were given away and have a nice day. I was shocked. The owner then explains they are not "obligated" to do a letter of agreement, but they will not send me a bill!!! Then I realize a letter of agreement was never requested with our insurance. They just kept pushing for an authorization to cash pay and then canceled my boys services instead. They also cannot legally send a bill when we NEVER had services with Speech house AND the speech therapist never saw my son. If you enjoy dealing with a company who is dishonest, rude, has no accountability for their actions, runs a puppy mill for money over children, dealing with the owner Maria who has no moral compass, being blamed for their negligence, or screwing over your special needs children for at least a year.... this is your place!!! Thank you for being so amazing Speech House!!!
