This place is absolutely amazing for only 1 person running it. Owner was incredibly friendly and even cooked us hotdogs! Considering a year membership wouldn't be a bad idea

The manager he spoke with said that they would honour the groupon price, but when we got there, they refused to give us the coupon price unless we had the print out. The manager said "I thought you had already bought the groupon, that's why I said you could just mention it." and we ended up paying $30 a person instead of $8. We're all broke college students, so the stakes for coughing up $30 for anything, are really high. It would have been nice if the manager had even attempted at remedying the situation, instead he insisted that we were the ones who had misunderstood and did nothing to help us out. On top of that, we are all amateur paintball players and for some reason the manager (who had all his own gear and was clearly well versed in the world of paintball) insisted on joining all of our games, making them much more difficult and frankly less fun for anyone facing off against him. I will definitely be taking my business to Bragg Creek from now on.

Crown Surplus is a staple for your military surplus needs. Even if it's just to get simple odds…read moreand sods it's a good place to check out. They have a good selection of used and new equipment ranging from combat boots to tactical flashlights. While you're there don't be afraid or intimidated to ask for help as everyone I've encountered there is friendly and helpful (despite their strong-man appearances). On nice days they have their yard open to the public; check that out if you want to look at some vintage gear and shelters. Don't forget to look at the back (really the side) store room for more goodies like packs, sleeping bags, MRE and even military bikes (very neat!). They've recently organized the store to make it flow much better so I'm quite happy about that. In the past you'd be knocking over clothing piles or running into boots on the ground, no more of that. It's not only a place to go if you need something. If you're ever in Inglewood and want to pass the time this would be a great place for that. If I were still single I would totally bring someone here on a first date, just imagine the conversation pieces!

I will say their prices on 5.11 brand items is very competitive! I look forward to shopping here again in future!

Ever wanted to look and dress like Rambo? Or just saw the Expendables, and wanted to feel like one…read moreof those wild mercenaries? Located in a quirky to reach area near Holy Smoke, it's simply an awesome place to go for security and paramilitary clothing and gear. Putting it quite simply, its' a place to get the real thing, whether it be military combat webbing to body armour (you need a licence btw now in Alberta), they stock all of the stuff that you would need if you're planning to invade Cuba tomorrow (except MREs better known as Meals Ready to Eat and maybe guns of course). I find the prices a bit high, but then, they are a very specialized store with specialized gear, and unlike 911 Gear, for the most part, they do not impose rules like requirements for company letters or security licences for a lot of the merchandise unless it is absolutely legally required. Other than that, it's worth taking a look especially if you're into airsoft or paintball and you're looking for realistic or actual clothing for your adventures in combat tactics. Even better, it's a good alternate source for clothing and gear if you can't get it from 911 or Crown Surplus. #46 of Yelp's 30-Day Review Challenge

The response from Seals Action Gear (Joyce) was very condescending (our other customers think this paracord is just fine). In the end, they admitted that the product was not military spec and have changed the description on their website. However, they refused to refund my considerable shipping costs, making it impractical to return the product. Don't shop here.
