Awful driving school. Booked and paid for 1 hour lesson and use of car, didn't let us touch the steering wheel and went straight to the testing site. When tried to explain what service we had booked, Ron has given us a million excuses and a ton of attitude. Braga's Driving School is the cheapest in the area but also the worst (I guess you get what you pay for). A ton of attitude and screaming. My suggestion would be for Ron to attend anger management classes, and change professions to stay away from customers, and ESPECIALLY new drivers on the road. read more

I was supposed to go take my road test with another school and the guy ended up driving off on me. My mom called Braga's driving school and they took me in last minute. Here is my review of Ron of Bragas driving school. I paid for six classes as a new driver, and spent four classes simply driving around. Ron never taught me to parallel park, turn, or anything else. On top of that, he yells, like a lot! Here's a tip: Ron, screaming at a new driver, is the absolute worst thing that you can do in your 55 years. I completed the fourth class completely disheartened and basically afraid to drive. I called my mom and told her that I'm scared to drive, but of course, my mom explained that the purpose of a driving instructor is patience, and Ron failed miserably in that area. By the fourth session, I was shaking. I'm so upset that he trains that way. I started with a new instructor today, and in just one session, I felt comfortable, and my anxiety was gone. Do yourself a favor... and call someone else. This guy is the worst! read more

Recently took the driving test and rented from Fernando (I wanted to name drop him specifically). The guy is extremely helpful (he'll help you out with a trick on how to ace parallel parking, if you have trouble), talkative, and just down to earth. The driving test takes roughly about 10 to 15 minutes but after practicing with Fernando, the entire test felt like a good 5 minutes. I easily passed flawlessly. I've searched many years for a great driving instructor . Being that I'm 27 , acquiring my license has been a 10 year journey. With 1 month till my permit expired , I finally reached out to Braga after reading amazing Google reviews of the primary instructor Fernando. So I've never driven in my life ( not even around the block ) and had 1 month to become sufficient. Are you shocked he took on the challenge !? I was ! From the very 1st lesson , Fernando was amazing. He continuously built my confidence , reassured me with constructive criticism , & most importantly had faith in me. For 6 weeks he promptly scheduled 1-2 , 2 hour lessons & arrived to my home on time for each session. He assisted me on scheduling my drivers exam, the morning of , he picked me up 2 hours earlier & really worked on perfecting my comfort with operating the vehicle . He required me to perform a mock test of the location I chose ( Edison ) and it was exactly how it was the morning of the test . So I had no jitters or fear of the unknown , low & behold ; I passed :) after 10 years , FINALLY some one said " you can do this ! Where do I begin..SO I have nerve problems LOL but Ron always taught me this technique and instead of going off of my nerves..I just thought technique, technique, technique. I failed my first road test because I began to shake and I drank a lot of coffee and I couldn't focus. I didn't drive for a WHOLE month, but one practice beforehand with Ron the day before for 1 hour and another hour in the morning BEFORE my road test guaranteed me a pass! I have been searching for a good and reputable driving school for my son Anthony and after reading Braga Driving School reviews, I was very impressed and knew that Braga Driving School would be the driving school to help my son Anthony. I immediately called and spoke with Fernando. He was very professional and so polite over the telephone. I scheduled several sessions, 1 hour during the week with Fernando who was his driving instructor, and the weekend Saturday for 2 hours and Sunday for 2 hours with Leo who was the driving instructor. Leo did a fantastic job. During the week, Fernando drove to my house near Edison, NJ and picked up my son. He had a great sense of humor and a positive attitude. I was happy to hear that Braga Driving School service all types of areas and all types of cities. Fernando gave my son so much confidence and reassuring that he will pass the test. The day of the road test 7/14/16, Fernando picked up my son early in the morning 7:00 a.m., to practice for 1 hour and drove to Edison MVR for the road test at 8:00 a.m. My son used Braga's vehicle for his road test. Braga's driving school was recommended to me by my neighbor who has 4 children and tried other instructors. Fernando (the son) was described to me as calm and collected. He was the best for beginning drivers. My daughter not only passed her test with flying colors, but Fernando even picked her up before the test and gave her an hour of time for practice.
