Not a good experience. They were careless and sloppy. In addition to a new roof, we asked him to replace a skylight. While taking out the old one, a large amount of debris fell inside the hole on top of and around my tv. Brady's excuses were 1. We told you about that (no, you didn't) 2. It's in the contract (no it's wasn't.) They offered to clean it up but I declined. I had no confidence in them being careful. Still, when I returned from work that evening, Brady informed me that they went in (without my approval) and cleaned up (sort of) the area.
A week or so after completion we noticed one of the gutters had broken away and a piece of siding on a dormer was loose and flapping in the wind. We called and left messages with Brady several times with no response. Finally, at least a few months afterward, Brady repaired the siding. We called again asking him to take care of the gutter. This time it only took a few weeks for him to address. The repair bill came to $250, which left both of us scratching our heads. Maybe it was just a coincidence, but we've never had gutter or siding issue in the 15 years that we've owned the house. The two repairs could not have taken more than 15 minutes total and required no materials.
We called to get an explanation. Brady was very combative and threatened that if we weren't going to pay (without us saying anything about not paying) he was going to come out and undo his work. Really? The owner threatens us instead of answering our question and justifying the cost? Then, before we can respond, he tells us to pay half and be done with it. read more
