I made the unfortunate decision to hire this company to sit for my elderly dog. The owner came for…read morethe initial assessment and handed me their formal fee schedule. But once she saw where I lived and that I'm a doctor, the cost went up. She seemed to have forgotten that she gave me the fee schedule and was charging me more. But I had a business trip so I didn't complain at the time. As soon as I got to the airport for my trip I was bombarded with texts and calls about my dog. The woman who was actually walking my dog had been not been given any of the instructions about my dog and did not show up when I had asked (she didn't know this either). I was furious and very concerned. I called the owner who chewed me out. THIS DOG SERVICE COSTS MORE THAN ANY AGENCY I HAVE EVER USED....I've lived all over the country and my walkers everywhere cost less. California, New Orleans, NY, MO, IL, PA, MI - all less. I fired them and she refused to refund me all of the remaining money and I was very concerned that they had a copy of my house key (I got it back but I was still very worried after this woman's irratic behavior.) The ranch has a lot of land and indoor and outdoor spaces and is on the owners property, so they are able to tend to the dogs frequently. In our experience, they treated our dogs as their own and they had a great time- they were excited to go back after their trial day- which was not the case with another daycare we went to in the area. We are always nervous about bringing our Husky where other dogs are present because he has historically had bad interactions with other dogs but Mike was great with managing his needs and let our Husky be around one of the more docile dogs that him and Misty own and it went just fine. Our dogs had a great experience. They got their nails trimmed during their stay as well. We had a great experience all around and will definitely be bringing our boys back!

If I could give Misty Fields Pet Resort zero stars, I would. They lost my dog before she even got…read moreinside. I caught her two days later at a freeway rest area. She managed to cross the freeway without getting hit.  My sister's dog was staying, too. When we dropped them off, Mike met us in the front yard. We offered to bring them inside, but he refused.  There is a horse fence around most of the yard, which is nothing for my little dog.  We hadn't gotten back home before Mike called to say she had gotten away and they needed my help catching her. By the time we got back, they had no idea where she was.  When Mike had tried to take her in, she had been startled by another dog and slipped her collar. She hung around in the yard until Misty grabbed her, then she "screamed", Misty let go, and she ran.  Misty never even talked to me. She stopped looking hours before the rest of us. Mike did drive around for quite a while the first day, but not as long as the family and friends that came to help.  We searched for about 5 hours the first day. It was raining and then snowing. We were all in spring jackets, without hats or gloves. Misty and Mike did not offer to let us in to warm up, or use the bathroom.  They didn't contact us on our second or third day of searching. My sister sent them a text in the late afternoon on the second day to let them know that we were still searching and another text in the late afternoon on the third day to let them know that we found her.

Great services all around...daycare, boarding and grooming. Our dogs come home exhausted from playing so much in a day. Prices are very reasonable and the accommodations are more than ample for all canines. This is an example of some recent amazing care. I was just on vacation for over a week in Europe, with limited ability to communicate with anyone back home. Well the day we leave, one dog gets sick and is in the vet trying to figure out what is wrong, ends up on a special diet and meds. I talked it over with Melissa and she said bring him in anyway..."we got this". Over the course of out trip we got daily reports on our pup and when we got home he was doing much better and was on the mend... Now totally fine. Having that piece of mind while away was great this is just one of the many examples of how great they are. I've had 3 dogs who call this place home away from home and half the time they jump out of the car and kick down the doors to get back in. And 2 of these dogs have been going since they were 8 weeks old.

Beth cannot handle her own schedule and does not show up to work. And hey, maybe Beth does have 8000 family and personal problems. That's not my business. What is my business is my dog, who goes weeks without any form of consistency. Beth is great short term. Im talking 2-3 classes. But any more than that and you're at risk for serial cancelations. Beth is very knowledgeable. Day one she will assess your dog. I like this. She will tell you where you're at and tailor your dogs program. Beth works on the weekends. Do not cancel things for her because she will not cancel things for you. After a year my dog still has not learned the things he needs to be a therapy dog, which may be partially due to temperament but definitely has something to do with the consistency. Edit for response: at least 2-3 of our original 8, which we didn't get, were 20 minutes long. Not okay. I'd say we got 6-7 before we were thrown into general group classes. And not even 6-7 full classes. Two were review of the test. Umm- I think I can read!!! Not worth those classes!

They suggested shoes, pads, equiox...I asked about her grain, they said she's not getting that much. I decided to take her off her soy based Essential K. She is now sound and barefoot with no anti-inflammatories. Before this I scheduled to have her joint injected. They over tranquilized her, did not support her head and she ended up falling and tore her lower lip off. They then charged me nearly $800 dollars to sew it back on.

(in may 2026 I was told to call the following Monday after a bad week) to see how she was. She was worse, I called them at the vets request. I told them she was much worse and needed to come in. They claimed they had no openings but could see her the next day. I couldn't wait so I took her to an emergency vet. She died that Wednesday, she was only 4 years old. I'm heart broken and disgusted with the no help I received. it appears to me, it's all about the money and not your pet. you would think they would in the least apologize for their behavior. of course they didn't . I would never use them again
