A Hidden Gem for Healthy Fast Food Lovers…read more I've been here several times now, and it's quickly become one of my go-to spots -- especially on those rushed mornings when breakfast or lunch just doesn't happen. What makes this place stand out is how well it balances convenience with clean eating. Whether you're counting calories, tracking your protein, or just trying to make better food choices, this is one of the rare spots where "fast food" doesn't mean compromising on nutrition or quality. You can eat healthy here -- like, actually healthy -- without it being boring or bland. Everything is made fresh right in front of you, and you can really see the care that goes into prepping each meal. The menu has plenty of variety, with something for just about every dietary need or craving -- from protein-packed meals to lighter options. The staff is consistently warm and professional. They greet you with a smile, remember your face (and sometimes even your usual order), and make you feel genuinely welcome. That kind of service is rare these days. The space itself is small but cozy -- not crowded or chaotic. It's got a chill vibe that makes it easy to sit down, take a breath, and enjoy your food in peace.

The ingredients were very fresh and the warm chicken paired nicely with the cold salad. Only one star down because they are a bit overpriced for the portion size

The place is a round log frame building that is quite spectacular inside of you are a log fan. This time of year in Parksville is pretty quiet, most places make hay in the summer and shutter for the slow season All of our food was delicious, prepared with care. Now to be fair there was hardly anyone in the place other than us five, so the kitchen wasn't slammed with people. That all said we enjoyed a wonderful, if somewhat pricey dinner, that would bring us back again!

Went in on our way to Nanaimo from Denman island to get dinner. It seemed busy and the manager/…read moreowner? Greeted us and we asked for a table for 2. He asked if we had called earlier and we said no. He said he had a table but he would need it for a 7pm booking they had and if that was ok. It was about 530 so that was plenty of time for us to finish and we accepted the table. We ordered seafood chowder, oyster Rockefeller, seafood sampler, and a lobster tail. Everything we had tasted wonderful. The rice pilaf that came with the sampler was cooked perfectly. Beautiful rice separation, nice mixture of celery, carrots, wild rice and either leek or onion; nicely seasoned. The halibut and salmon were cooked nicely and had a lovely cream sauce. Veggies nice and al dente. Oyster Rockefeller tasty and fresh. Lobster cooked beautifully, was tender and with hot butter to dip was lush. Seafood chowder was the right texture and consistency, not too thin not to thick and enough seafood to be proud of its name. For dessert the special of the night was a flourless chocolate torte served with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. That was delicious, not overly sweet and had a nice chocolate flavour and texture was nice and smooth. The service was impeccable, water was always filled and the manager or another server always asked if every thing was alright and or if we were happy. But also you can see with how busy it was they would go off to tend other tables. That being said the fact they take the time to ask and make sure you are taken care of is awesome. I've been to fine dining where the serve disappears and doesn't ever ask how things are until like the last 10 minutes. Overall for an impromptu dinner here we were pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I would recommend dining here if your in the area, reservations might be best as this was a Monday and they were packed.

This is a great cafe to grab a coffee, any other hot drinks &/or something tasty to eat. Word to…read morethe wise, kitchen shuts an hour prior to actual closing time. So no tasty sandwiches that last hour. However, you can still order the remaining baked treats that last hour there open (& really, that's not a bad thing if you have a sweet tooth!). The layout feels like it's two shops & allows for lots mixed seating & one great long table with giant benches. This also means one needs to be able to navigate through tighter spots easily if you're sitting down before your order is ready (or for my friends that look for accessible work arounds, going through the doors opposite to the sign suggestions to avoid any unfortunate drink/food disasters would be a good strategy). There's separate entrance/exit doors but the way the long line up to order occurs inside, the exit door is smarter to enter into the cafe (if you're able). There's also some tables outside along the street & a bench along the wall. If the weather is decent, I usually opt for that outside option. Otherwise, I prepare myself for a louder cafe experience being that this location is busy right to the end of the day. The staff is always friendly here. I greatly appreciate that the cashier took time to ask about any soy in certain baked treat options I was considering (after finding out I couldn't do a tasty turkey sandwich I was hoping for). In the past I've enjoyed breakfast sandwiches & lunch sandwiches. Both worthy of me to return to enjoy again. Being that it's awhile since I stopped here, I opted to try their seasonal latte. Usually I go with their tasty mocha. So I have to say for all the spices listed in the drink, I really didn't taste the difference between that special seasonal latte & a regular latte. However, still a very decent latte & gave me the needed caffeine boost after wandering through my first QB Christmas market before stopping at the cafe. As Qualicum Beach is known for their senior population, this place (like many others) has the basics checked off for accessibility. However, if I had anyone joining me with a walker or wheelchair, I would definitely suggest we find a table first & then I would go up to order for everyone. This being even with a cane, I find it is really hard to navigate back to the tables once you've got the order. They have a small bathroom tucked at the back but you need to be able to navigate around many tables to reach it. The lightning never bothers my eyes in here but at full capacity, anyone with hearing issues or noise sensitivity would have issues. Overall, a decent local place with a lot of regular tasty menu items.
