I had the pleasure of visiting three times in the fall of 2015. Once I get inside, I'm always greeted by super friendly guards who greet me by saying things like, "Welcome back", "Did you miss us?" "What'd you do this time?" and "I figured we'd get to see you today". Then comes the part where they pat me down. You can always tell that they're only doing this part because they have to. They aren't half as thorough as those Polar Pop Girls on Washington. I'm pretty sure you could sneak all kinds of things in there if you put them in your butthole or your belly button. I'm just gonna throw this out there in case the guy who runs the place is reading this. You should really have a chick do that part. We'd cooperate a lot better and I bet you'd find all kinds of things hidden in our butts. Inside, they have what's called the drunk tank. Basically, it's a few big concrete slabs that you can lay on with a stainless steel toilet that's cleaned daily with urine. Mysteriously, there is never any toilet paper on the rolls. Instead, it is folded in a bunch of shapes that are unidentifiable. Most inmates clearly suck at origami. Luckily for us, since that room doesn't have a television, they coat it with the cheapest industrial paint that can be found, which makes it fairly easy to misspell things if we scratch it with our fingernails. Some folks are even nice enough to tell you who gives good head, which is very useful information on the inside. I wrote "Nick H was here". The next time I was there, I wrote "X2" underneath that. The last time I was there, unfortunately, I didn't get put in there. That time, they put me in a chair and watched a Tim Allen's "Last Man Standing" marathon, which was far much worse than being locked in the drunk tank. Being forced to watch CMT reruns is far more dehumanizing than being alone. My favorite part, however, was the guards. All of the guards were great. I can't say enough about them. All three visits, I was treated very nicely. The food wasn't bad. It is a lot like school lunch, only the lunch ladies smell significantly better. The jail also mysteriously has the coldest apple juice cooler on planet earth. You don't drink your apple juice. You scrape it out of the plastic cup with your teeth until it melts in your mouth. Oddly enough, I think they also cook the meat, potatoes, and corn in the same fridge. If you ever get the chance to go, just don't be a dick. The guards are all pretty cool if you are cool to them. And, there's a hot mexican chick guard who's kind of quiet, but she's a lot better to look at than the other guards, especially that big bald one.
