The library staff are friendly. If you go there often enough, they will know you by name. They have an abundant adult and children's section. They have audio books and DVDs. Often you can find something to read or listen to because it will be marked as 'new'. Depending on what everyone likes, they will purchase books accordingly. They have a small coffee bar near the entrance, and two multi-purpose (not like gyms) rooms also near the entrance in the vestibule, and have several restrooms, the main ones located there in the front. We have been coming here for years. Directly across the street from BUGC, (Bourbonnais Upper Grade Center), which serves children 7-8 grade, so many children come here after school to hang out and be picked up by a parent. The only things I dislike are a.) No video games for my pre-teen, unlike Bradley Library, and b.) Not a lot of teen programs. The teen section is the size of a small bedroom: the programs are practically nonexistent as they focus on younger children (who also have a very large book section) So, if I had to choose, I'd pick the Bradley Library, which is across the street from Tri-Star Martial Arts studio and a car wash. Good luck and happy reading! read more
