It's located behind Westgate Mall and seems to be the place to go if you're into baseball as they have 5 baseball fields and a concession stand. They also have a playground, soccer field, and basketball court; all of which people were using. I'd say this is very active well used park. A paved walking trail can be found here that gets you throughout most of the park, but more like a U shaped perimeter path than a full circle around though. They also have restrooms, a picnic shelter, a water fountain, and plenty of parking. A busy but nice park; I would visit again.

I actually like the field overall but the service we get for adult leagues is pure garbage. They NEVER work on the field anything more than they need to. If you get rain it's just a rain out, when a little diamond dry, a rake and effort would easily make it playable. We end up moving games that day which can be very inconvenient but shows other fields will work a little. Think they forget that every team is a paying customer.

Or you can walk - on Summer lane and also Southwood Drive there is a grass area in the center of each street that if followed east will dead end in the park, just like the first 3 streets I mentioned do. This location makes the park quieter and safer than most as it is not along a main road and if someone doesn't know where it is they wont find it. There are restrooms, a playground, a soccer field used by local teams, and an all purpose bath for biking and walking. The path winds through a wooded area along side the backyard of a few homes. Along the way you pass a pavilion and a dirt make shift bike (I've seen remote control cars used here too) area (small hills and stuff). There are larger parks with more offerings (e.g., tennis, basketball) in the city, but if you want a quiet place to walk the dog or let the kids run this works. There is a completed shaded part of the path and a part of the path where there is no shade to be had.

We arrived around 6pm on a weekday evening. There were only 2 other people playing tennis together when My friend and I arrived so it was nice that the courts were not very busy. Although the tennis courts were not busy, there were people walking around the park just outside of the tennis courts enclosure. . The park has a playground for kids and there is a grassy area for maybe softball, baseball, or football. There apparently is a pool at the park too but I don't remember seeing one because I am writing this review over a year and a half later. TENNIS (hard court) -- The park has 2 pickleball courts and 4 tennis courts. My friend and I played tennis on one of the courts for over an hour. The surface is hard court so not clay or grass court surface. Playing on the hard court surface was good. The courts are definitely well used and not new but the tennis balls still bounced off well. The park could use some benches because I hardly saw any during my October 2025 visit. Overall, I had a fun time playing tennis here. I hope to come back soon to play tennis again. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 113/250 total reviews in 2026 - 954 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 1 June 2026

TENNIS COURTS -- I arrived to play tennis. There are about 8 tennis courts which is plenty for a park. When I arrived around 4pm, there were people playing tennis and about 5 courts open. The tennis courts are all hard surface and it felt good to play on them. The nets seemed well kept as well. I have no complaints about the conditions of the court. The park itself has a big grassy field that sits on a hill just across from the tennis courts. I heard that there used to be a swimming pool here but that has since been removed. I didn't get to walk around the other side of the park. PROS -- Clean park with plenty of tennis courts. CONS -- There aren't many benches to sit on by the big grassy field and I didn't see any swings or play activities for kids. I don't have kids but I'm assuming that families with kids would prefer a park with swings or slides. Well, now that I think about it, there are benches by a big open structure in the ground which I hear will become a man-made pond soon. Be careful if you bring kids here because they may easily slide down and fall into it. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely be back to play tennis since I love tennis. **** - 34/100 total reviews in 2021 - 454 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 30 May 2021
