He discusses several options, the outcome of each, and which best works with my lifestyle for the best result. I have NEVER seen a doctor who cared so much. He always prints out handouts for me to take home and he directs me to related articles and resources to educate me on my health condition. The office just moved and they are in Bethesda now off of Rockledge Drive. His nurses Lilly and Taryn are the nicest medical professionals you could happen to meet. They are so receptive to your needs. Dr. Sadikman is a concierge practice. So, you pay a yearly fee. The nice thing about that is you can get in to see him, when you need to. The PCP I saw had excellent bedside manner and was very thorough. I have no complaints about the doctor or the medical care I received. However, I would not recommend the staff member who was drawing blood in the morning. Before we started, I specifically explained that I am not good with needles and that my veins can be difficult to find. I asked for someone experienced with difficult blood draws so the process could be done with as few complications as possible. Unfortunately, she was unable to locate my vein. She inserted the needle where the vein was not and then attempted to reposition the needle under my skin to find it. It felt like a blindfolded dart competition. I immediately asked her to stop and politely requested another person to draw my blood. I was told there was no one else available at that time. I returned the following morning hoping someone different would be available, but the same person was there, and I was told no one else would be available until 10 a.m. I understand that difficult blood draws happen, and I don't expect every attempt to be perfect. But when a patient specifically communicates that they have difficult veins and anxiety around needles, I believe that concern should be taken seriously and an experienced person should be available when possible. I'm sharing this because I would not want someone else who has difficulty with blood draws to have the same experience. The office and PCP were excellent. My concern is specifically with the blood-draw experience and morning staffing.
