In response to your response:…read more I am in atlanta. The review is based entirely on what happened to this person after seeing you and based on the information you gave them. Your son (i believe but i may be wrong) was also incredibly rude on the phone when genuine issues were expressed.. and there was complete disregard from you in your diagnosis which were completely off the wall and wrong by any medical standard sadly... which resulted in my friend going to the hospital based on false data presented by you... I apologize if this review is damaging but when it comes to people's health i don't think you can be playing around and diagnosing people with serious illness based on information you clearly don't understand or have education in... its just plain dangerous.

I have been a big fan of Tricounty for many years due to the excellent care of Dr Borrego, Dr Jorge…read moreand even the Nurse Practitioner Mary. I have to say that recently the care received from them has not been good. I just had an annual physical conducted by Mary and felt the visit was rushed. Although there are signs posted everywhere that annual well visits should only be that with no mention of other things such as not feeling well, I did mention at the visit that I have not been feeling good for a long while. The conversation was brushed off and I allowed that to happen because I knew I would be getting a full blood panel completed. When the results were received I learned that the white blood cell count was very low and had been that way for an entire year! While this physician group is generally pretty good I feel they have failed me. I had been to that office many times during that one year span for various reasons and no one thought to check previous bloodwork or anything in my file to get to the bottom of why I was not feeling good. What is the point of doing physical exams each year if you cannot go in and discuss any concerns you may have and notice about your general health? It also concerns me that there are many older people who do not manage well with technology and yet they force a new app on all patients to get their results from tests. The quality of care just did not seem up to par on my last visit and they should do better. Mary should do better.

After years of yo yo dieting, I had given up on myself and weight ballooned up to close to 350 pounds. When I called Sheryl, my eating was completely out of control. I needed someone to help me to gain control of my eating habits and my weight. Sheryl's approach was much different than the other plans I had tried before. During our first session she spent two hours asking me what I ate daily and designed a plan around the foods I liked to eat. Yes, you still need to eat nutritional foods to lose weight, but thankfully you aren't restricted to carrots and lettuce. :). There are no prepacked foods, or shots necessary to start to lose weight on Sheryl's plan. After a short time on the plan, I stopped craving the foods that sends my eating out of control. I also found it easy to get back on the plan on few occasions when I strayed. So far with Sheryl's help I have lost 60lbs, and I am confident with what I have learned, I can remain in control during my weight loss journey. It is also great to know that Sheryl is there to give you accountability, and help guide you when you hit a plateau. Sheryl really cares out her client. As my weight has come down, Sheryl has become a friend and has given me advice on how to better handle other parts of my life. My only regret about working with Sheryl, was that I did not meet her years ago.

My girlfriends and I bought the…read moreGroupon she's referring to ($30 for 6 for "Bikini Bootcamp"), and we had a BLAST plus got really toned (somedays I could hardly walk after - today we did over 170+ squats!). Originaly we were all supposed to meet in Piedmont Park for the 50 minute sessions but because Cobb County was closer for all of us, our instructor (Kwazi, who is a doll!) was willing to change the location so we all didn't have to get up at 4:45 am for our 5:30 am class! Each of us had a pre-assessment which was then posted on our own personal Amelle webpage which included our BMI, measurements, weight, etc. It then gives you a goal to achieve based upon the results and what you're looking to get out of the program. They then follow up with each invidual to review the results, etc. Most importantly, I felt really comfortable working out with Kwazi. It can be intimidating signing up for a "bootcamp" when you're not in great shape, but she made us all laugh and feel comfortable with our bodies. She pushed us HARD, but without being aggressive or angry. I like her approach which seems to be that everyone's body is different and each individual person needs a unique plan to help them succeed in their health and fitness goals (we each got our own individual work out plans to print out from our website based upon our one-on-one review after the pre-assessment). In reponse to the claim that Amelle is "very unprofessional," I cannot fathom why they would warrant that opinion - I didn't get that at all. Kwazi always followed up in a timely and professional fashion with us and was always easy to reach via e-mail, text, or phone. I really can't imagine why someone would say that the people at Amelle are "unprofessional," but who knows! Our final session is in two days (and we'll do our final assessment then), and I've already made plans to continue training with Kwazi. My friends and I loved the bootcamp - money WELL spent!

After years of trying to stop the disorder on my own, I lost hope that I would ever change and decided to accept the fact that I'd never get better. Finally my mom stumbled upon Betsy Thurston's website one day and my life changed for the better from then on. Betsy is a compassionate, knowledgeable, and caring individual who worked one-on-one with me for several months to change a lifelong battle with dysfunctional eating. She worked with me to find the source of my issues and gave me small, attainable goals on a weekly basis. She understood when I "slipped up" and didn't fully achieve my goals and encouraged me to pick up right where I left off. I never felt ashamed or embarrassed to be honest with her about everything. After just four months of weekly sessions, I had completely stopped bingeing and purging, and I had a brand new, healthy outlook on food. She helped me tackle and confront the source of my disorder. It has been 2 1/2 years and I am still *successfully* managing my disorder using the lifelong tools that Betsy gave me during our sessions. The best choice I ever made was to pick up the phone and schedule my consultation with Betsy! She is the best! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I first found Betsy through her Podcasts and even though I have never struggled with a serious…read moreeating disorder, I have always had ups and downs with my weight and dieted on and off. I contacted her and we had several meetings via Skype. She has a very unique approach to helping people with nutrition and body image. It was so refreshing to have a non-judgmental, objective person to guide me through to my goal. She helped me identify behaviors that lead me to overeating and we discussed ways I could change them. She noted that I'm a "tandem eater" who can eat mindlessly around others when they're eating, even if I'm not hungry, and now I try to remember that when I'm out with friends or with coworkers at lunch. She also provided me with numerous other tools, reading materials, and book recommendations that were quite helpful. I think that anyone who has ever tried to diet before probably has some aspect of "emotional eating" (which sometimes is due to GOOD emotions!) and Betsy is a very unique-and effective-clinician for this. I would recommend her to anyone who has ever wanted to lose weight but just can't do it on their own, especially after a few tries.
