awesome gun store the people that work there are totally full of knowledge. Me and my wife went in there tonight we bought two guns a python 357 magnum and a Glock 9 mm. They were totally helpful as far as information goes and willing to work with us on how many questions we have super patient. We were actually fortunate our background checks came back 10 minutes after we applied for it walked out with a gun after an hour and 20 minutes my wife's background check came back at 6:03 they close at six he called her and let her turn around and come back and pick up her gun. Monday February 8, 2016 Everything was exceptional besides when my husband asked about ammo and the heavy set chick with frizzy hair and glasses paused, stared, didn't say a word but you could tell it looked like he put her out of the way, even though she was standing at the ammo counter with no customers. Don't recommend this store. Prices are bad, transfers are expensive, can't buy ammo(it's priced outrageously anyway), and I've never encountered someone pleasant at this store over the years. Just want to air this out about a gun store. Went to Bradis Guns yesterday was told I can buy 1 box of slugs per day. Bought one and they told me to come back the next day if I want to buy another. Show up today and they tell me no they only sell slugs and all ammo with purchase of a firearm. So I made the trip for no reason. But he said i could buy a brand that my gun does not shoot well which does me no good. After I said I was told to come here today and get a box from the employee they still said nope. Well my dad simply made a comment to me saying "damn, you have to spend 1000 dollars to buy 1 box of deer slugs". That was truly all he said to me. The guy working which I think was the manager immediately said " he doesnt need to hear any lip and to get out immediately and told us we can never come back!" My dad replied "hey I'm allowed to talk right?" The manager says " you need to go now, you are considered trespassing and we will have you arrested" Multiple employees followed us out even though we were leaving on our own and harrassed us as we were leaving and took pics of our plate just because of that one comment. I've bought alot of guns, ammo, accessories from them and I will NEVER go back. I never complain but this time I had to let people know how they run their business, and you can do what you want with this info. It was unreal. I have bought several guns from Bradis over the years 2011 to 2013 was the bulk and they were cheaper than retail. But over the years, I realized they were not the best price. The people working there were not friendly, not rude, but more toward the rude side. As others have said, nit overly friendly, pricing hit and miss. read more

My first time there, I've driven by it for years and never stopped by. The staff was really nice, I knew that didn't have what I was looking for but based on a previous phone conversation but I had to stop by to see what they had and to my surprise they had one of the items that was on my wish list. Low inventory as all other stores, but that's due to this pandemic. I didn't realize that I dropped some money, I had left the store and they called me letting me know a customer found it. When a customer returns money and the staff took the time to track down who dropped it, it says a lot about their customers and the staff. read more

I haven't been here in years, but last I went, it was the coolest family-owned gunstore in the Indianapolis area. Just a couple minutes from I-465 off the SR-67 (Kentucky Ave) exit. That's off the South-West corner of the I-465 loop. They'll be on the left hand side of the road as you're heading SW (away from Indy) on SR-67/Kentucky Ave. Great place to browse. Last I checked they had the best prices. They will also order *anything* (legal, of course), at a decent price, if they don't stock it. Whether you want something for hunting, target shooting, or self-defense, they are knowledgeable and can steer you right. Of the hunters and target shooters I know, this is the most-liked gun store or gun shop in Central Indiana. read more

Earlier this year....the at the time GF ex-boyfriend thought I should have a shotgun put in my mouth...whilst he pulled the trigger....not said with the joviality and aw shucks....I would have preferred. I don't like metallic flavors. Offered "previously owned" choices in weapons, cases, and holsters...did not try to over sell. Nice change from most places and those that don't want to make any money. I've been into Bradis a few times and have always been welcomed by the staff. They are friendly and very helpful if you don't know exactly what you're looking for. I went in most recently to look for a light-weight revolver. The man who helped me listened to what I was looking for and he gave me some suggestions. He showed me a few pieces while explaining the benefits that accompanied each weapon. There was no pressure and I really liked that. He made sure that I got exactly what I was looking for and within my price range. Price was good too. Love this gun shop! I will be purchasing another gun from them very soon. read more

They have a large selection. Prices can be hit or miss. Everyone seemed nice and willing to help. They also have another store next door with firearm accessories and military surplus items. My girlfriend didn't go in, she probably sat out there in the car and watched CNN. read more

I found the staff of Bradis very helpful even with the current run on guns and ammo. Just left the store. Was actually kicked out of store. Threatened to be arrested if I didn't leave. Went in with son an his fiancé. We was looking for shotgun slugs for deer hunting. Just before going there my son called and they told him to come up they had Hornady 20ga slugs and that they'd sell him ONE box. When we arrived the big guy working there instantly asked if he could help us. My son said yes looking for Hornady deer slugs for 20ga. The guy said he didn't have any. My son said I just called and ask and you said you'd sell me ONE box. The employee then pointed to dry erase board and said that's what we have you can buy those that's what we have. Then said you have to buy a firearm and we'll sell you one box of Hornady. I said out loud to myself wow you have to buy a $1000 gun before they'll sell you a box of shells? That comment set the employee off. Ordered me out of store or be arrested. Said they had police on premises. Then 3 Employees surrounded me, my son and his fiancée and escorted us all the way to our vehicle. Made sure to tell me they were taking pics of my license plate. Can't believe we were treated like this. Never experienced anything like this in my life. I'm 57 years old and I've never been arrested. Would never purchase anything from these people. I went to Bradis with my wife, intending to buy her a small semi-automatic handgun. As we were being helped by a female employee, here came a blowhard, Rambo gun clerk, and inserted himself into our discussion. I neither needed, nor wanted this intrusion. I`ve been shooting for better than 40 years, and I have at least as much experience and knowledge as this blowhard gun clerk. My wife humored the guy and let him go on, and on, and on, and on, and we left, without buying the handgun we were considering. I`ll buy the gun, but somewhere else, where the employees don`t feel that unmanageable urge to butt in where they aren`t invited, and kill a sure sale. read more

Bradis is certainly one of the best gun shops in Indianapolis. They have fair prices on guns, ammunition, and accessories. They also carry interesting (and often historical) surplus weapons. The staff is not paid on commission, and there is never pressure to buy something when you arrive. Furthermore, everyone who I've encountered in the shop is friendly and helpful. I like the selection at Bradis Guns and the personnel are nice and very knowledgeable but every time I buy something I have to call them to see if my purchase is in. They have my number. When I call they are so "busy" with "potential" customers they haven't gotten to the delivered "paid" purchases for the last few days. So I have to wait until they make time. I feel you already have my money I should get my purchase. Customers who have paid for their purchases shouldn't have to wait until others are serviced before they get what they have bought. read more

My review......let's see. Snarky people in general....especially the frizzy haired woman with glasses. Wanted to trade up for something interesting. Bought most all of my firearms there before. Very long wait ( in a store that is all of 800 sq. ft.) to talk to anyone even though they were not that busy and had 4 or 5 people clustered around their counter. I was told that I would have to speak to a manager about a trade. Finally was summoned to the counter by impertinent hand gestures from frizzy hair. Then was passed off to a subordinate who had no authority to talk about the trade of a gun. Went back to a guy that reminded me of Grizzly Adams to show him my gun. Came back and made me a ridiculous low cash offer totally disregarding my request to talk about a trade. Remember, I was a repeat customer who bought the gun in question brand new at their store. What an insult, what a bore....what a joke. Suffice to say...I WAS a repeat customer! I don't know if they are under new management or what.....really don't care. People like that DESERVE to be called out and most definitely don't warrant my business. read more
