I'm not sure why this is called Margo Sterling Silver; sterling silver appears to be just a…read moreminuscule part of the business in the store. Overall, based on what I saw in the store, this is a metaphysical business. I saw great looking handmade jewelry, knick knacks for the home, incense, tantra-related items, stones and other merchandise. A couple of the things that caught my eye because I have an interest in them are the crystals and sage. Margo has a big selection of stones and crystals. People burn sage (in a ritual called smudging) to clear away negativity. I've smudged my place a few times with a bundle of burning white sage, and I know it helped because I felt a calmness and contentment after I got done. Margo sells various types of sage that customers can smudge their spaces and their selves to eliminate negativity and increase positivity. I have also interest in crystals, of which Margo has a big selection. The two types of crystals that I have are black obsidian and clear quartz crystals, both of which have protective properties. One of clear quartz's benefits is enhancing mental clarity. It can help with emotional stability, and it's popular in meditation and restorative work. It's also often used for manifestation and can help create more focus and clarity around a desire. It is a protective stone and can be used to amplify psychic abilities. I have white quartz crystals near my front door to dispel any negative energies entering my home, and on my nightstand to amplify the effect of the black obsidian crystal that I keep near it. One of the most popular uses of black obsidian is to create a shield of protection to ward off negative or harmful energies. I wear a black obsidian bracelet to help absorb negativity that I may encounter. I also have black obsidian crystals in the four corners of my condo to help ward off negative and harmful energies. Does it work? I know they do. I like that throughout the store are handwritten descriptions and explanations either on or near the crystals. These are great for customers who are interested in incorporating crystals into their lives. However, customers who buy them should also learn how to use the crystals (the best placement for them, how to energize them, how to cleanse them, etc.) after they're purchased to learn how to put them to best use for themselves. One thing that I'd like to point out when I was in the store was that there were way too many strong scents concentrated in one specific area on the left side of the store. I took a couple of regular breaths in and the scents hit me hard. Think of the strong and multiple scents affecting your nose as being similar to strong and multiple noises affecting your ears. When I smelled the odors together I got dizzy, realized that scents were affecting me and immediately walked to the other side of the store. I was fine after breathing in non-scented air. I didn't get a good look at the object(s) that caused my dizziness. It would've been good to know so that I could avoid a similar situation in the future.

We came here for a temporary exhibit of the Southern Pastel Society. It appeared that the OCAF may…read morehave at least 2 buildings in this campus, but we only visited the exhibit hall. It appears to be a former school auditorium. There is plenty of parking, but it was hard to see initially. We entered via 3rd Street and drove by a baseball field. The OCAF is on a rise about 5 - 8 feet above the level of the road, so you can't really see its closest parking lot until you walk or drive up. I moved the car closer after I realized there was a parking lot up there. You enter past the office and along a hallway of displays of pottery / art for sale. There is also a table with historical objects from the building's school history. The exhibit space was at the end of the hall in the former auditorium. It was laid out as you might expect, with works displayed around the perimeter walls and on some freestanding wall segments in the center of the space. This exhibit was nice, but as I said it was temporary. I assume they rotate other exhibits through the space. This was within a 15-minute drive of Athens, so if you are in that area it is easy to check this place out. We drove out from Atlanta and stopped a a few places on the route, but if you drove straight through it would probably take at least 90 minutes to get here. Depending on what they have on display this is worth a stop.

The two employees were so entrenched in a White Claw drunken, car-issues conversation that I was too embarrassed to interrupt them. We walked in and out without even a hello and definitely not a goodbye. Come if you're completely self-sufficient and don't need anything! There was a foreshadowing sticker in there that read, "The future ain't what it used to be."
