Awesome Marina! Amazing location with the most helpful staff! Great store, great restaurant recommendations & complimentary laundry!! Can't beat that!! It was a little unusual because so many boats had been hauled out for #hurricanedorian.. The biggest challenge for us was that it was a fixed dock with no ladders to use. Other than that...don't hesitate to stay here!

Sorry, you missed it! Even tho we arrived early.... WTF?

So we arrived at the office with a reservation, but had to pay. We were pushed away by 2 cashiers to help other people even tho we had been there... the boat leaves from wayyyyy down there! No one told us where to go, we figured it out. Running down to the dock at 6:27.... watch the friggin boat floating down the bay. "they're coming back right?!?!" NOOOOOPPPPEEEE! Wow. NO CRUISE FOR YOU!!! Had to chase Dolores for a refund.... which she happily and very apologetically gave. But damn, what a mess the whole thing was!!!

This is the tensioner they broke...

Virtually everything he touched on both of my 300 hp Yamaha's was done incorrectly spark plugs were leveling in the cowling along with the bolts to the fuel filter cover. They tightened a belt tensioner down so tight it cracked And had to be replaced by another marina. Low-water pick up screens were missing on one motor. I'd stay as far away from this marina as you can if you were having your boat serviced

Had an awesome time on the jet skis! Guide was super chill and super friendly! I think his name was Marlin?

    Captain James' pontoon

We had an amazing tour with Captain James for my aunt's 75th birthday! He let the "birthday girl" drive the pontoon for quite some time and made her feel very at ease. He told stories about the history of the area and pointed out places to eat and visit. He was very accommodating with taking pictures. He was a kind, funny, knowledgeable man who made our tour absolutely delightful! Thank you so much! We'll definitely be back!

Came here on a Sunday and rented a Pontoon for 8 ppl. very easy and the staff was very friendly. they give you good information for you to enjoy the trip. follow the rules and advice and you will be fine. fuel was extra but came out to only 30 bucks more and we took the boat to almost Sarasota Bay and back. great for kids at the sandbars. will definitely be back to rent a bigger boat.

My parents (who are FL residents) and I rented a bow rider boat for 4 hours from the Bradenton Beach Marina several days ago. My parents previously owned a boat in this area, so we have realistic expectations for boat life in Florida. Pros: -we were able to reserve with short notice (a week and a half in advance) and they had boats available -they got us out a few minutes early -the instructions and maps were very clear -the motor on the boat ran well Cons: -the boat was filthy (stains on the seats, empty beer bottles on the boat, and excessive black dirt on the deck - see my pictures) -the boat was in poor repair (many instrument gauges were broken, the Bimini top came loose due to a rusted pin, and the steering was very stiff) -there was some odd discrepancy with the fuel (the man at the rental said, "Shouldn't cost you much more than $20 in fuel for the afternoon", however, about 15 minutes after leaving the marina we finally found the gas gauge and it was at 3/4 tank. Additionally, when we returned the boat we were charged $32 for 8 gallons of gas. This was a bit confusing to use because the engine was a 115hp 4 stroke, and we idled for a long time in button bay and even stopped to use the bathroom during our 4 hours. In our experience, that's quite a high fuel burn for that time. We can't say with certainty what happened, but it seemed off.) Overall, if you don't care about the appearance/cleanliness/repair of the boat, this marina would be fine as long as you confirm that you have a full tank of gas before departure. However, if you're interested in a boat that is clean and fully functioning, then this isn't the place to rent from.

The overall marina is very run down and in shambles, and not likely to be repaired soon since it is in the middle of a sale. Many of the dock were torn apart during a late season storm, which wasn't even close to a hurricane. They only have one gentleman who repairs the docks, and he is overwhelmed with too many repairs to make. The bathrooms are dingy and run down, and the associated restaurant closes at 9 p.m., so you can't even go and watch a game there. The food is overpriced, and happy hour is not very happy! George, the assistant dockmaster (and manager in the restaurant - watch out!), is a complete A-hole and has no business dealing with the public. When the dockmaster, Harley, is off on Mondays and Tuesdays, he harasses and threatens the tenants and acts like he's God, making all the decisions to kick out those people whom he dislikes. Harley is a likeable fellow, but leaves at 2 p.m. and isn't readily available. The guy who is really in charge of it all - supposedly - is COO Joe Rogers, who refuses to meet with the public although he's the one calling the shots above Harley. If the man makes a decision that affects me, I want the opportunity to schedule a meeting and talk to him about it! This is a huge property, and despite them having ample parking with three lots, they are extremely picky about who parks where, and hate having golf carts, scooters, and more than one car per boat. Considering that this is directly across the Cortez Bridge from Anna Maria Island - which is absolutely overrun with golf carts, scooters, slingshots, etc. (they rent them everywhere) - it's absolutely INSANE that they have a problem with this! This marina is absolutely not friendly to boaters of any type, for any length of time, and I'd definitely advise against. If I had the $10 million myself, and the estimated $3 million that needs to be put into repairs and upgrades, I'd buy it myself and turn it into the gem of the island! There are houses and a bunch of property associated with it, so if there are any prospectors out there, it's a great deal at $10 million! Come save us!

Also tried the fish dip which was good, a spinach salad and clam chowder which was excellent!

Hurricane Helene arrived to the area 9/26. We made a phone call just prior to the hurricane to ask about access and were advised not to bring our boat as planned on 10/1 as a hurricane was expected, and we would be informed by email when we could access the facilities. The hurricane impacted your marina and access to the Space was prohibited. On 10/10 Hurricane Milton arrived. On 10/19 we visited your marina to see if we could bring in our boat. Maggie's referenced emails we had not received saying the marina was not open. Checked email address and it was correct but, apparently not added to someone's list, so she said she would add it and we would be notified when to bring our boat. 10/24 another visit to marina to ask when it would be open as we had heard nothing. Maggie said it opened yesterday 10/23. Again, no notification of this fact was communicated to us. We asked for consideration for the loss of the first month on our contract because we weren't allowed access. We were referred to Michael Blake who was not in that day. 10/26 another visit to marina. We asked for our contract to begin then on Nov. 1st. as our boat did not have access. This request was denied by Michael Blake. He said the "higher ups" denied our request for some kind of consideration for time we were unable to access the Space. Your contract provides relief in the paragraph 1. License., wherein it states "If Safe Harbor is unable to deliver the Space within 10 days after Commencement Date, Member may terminate this agreement by written notice delivered to Safe Harbor prior to delivery of the space. Also, under Term. Contract states "the "Term" begins on the earlier of the Commencement Date or the date that the member is permitted to occupy the space..." and since you were closed to us on the Commencement date, and we were not permitted to occupy the space until 10/23, our position is that that is when the term begins on this contract. After stating the above items to Mike he still stated that they would not move the start date. I then stated I would take all of them to small claims court for one months rent. Mike, Maggie, the higher ups as well. Please let me know if you plan to honor your contract and we will bring our boat over on Nov. 1st. as first day of the 6 month term. Thanks for your consideration. Sincerely, Edward Dodge On Oct 30 th we contacted the office to see if we could bring our boat in We were told by Maggie that's a Mike question and they would get back to us in a few hours. 5 hrs later we called and put on speaker phone with business manager and all the office staff, we were told they wanted to terminate the contract and refund us all our monies. We accepted this and the monies were returned to us C: Safe Harbor Corporate Office 14785 Preston Rd #975 Dallas, TX 75254 Michael Blake Dockmaster Safe Harbor Pier 77 12312 Manatee Avenue Bradenton.
