My parents lived in a townhome in the heart of Bellevue where there were lots of loud noises, cars, trucks, sirens and bangs! My parents didn't think that was suitable for me since they noticed that I love running in grass. That's when my parents reached out to the ladies of #RAREnorthwest @RareNorthwest I heard my mom say that Rachel and Tori must have showed them over 267 homes, and none they thought suited me well to stretch my legs. On August 12th Tori showed my mom a house that she thought was perfect for me: No stairs, front/side and a back yard for me to frolick about... and it came with a Baby Milo door! Listen folks, when you walk through this door, you are outside! On September 10th we moved into our new home and slept in utter peace and quiet. No siren, no banging and a yard all for myself (and the rabbits). Rachel & Tori are, beautiful, patient, kind, friendly, personable, extremely knowledgable in their craft individuals. They always had our best interst at hand and would tell us if it wasn't the right house for us. They know the market, they can predict the outcome and will fight till the end for you! We never doubted their confidence and savviness in their game plan and approach. They held my mom's hand throughout the process, they even gave me cuddles and belly rubs (which are my favorite). Whenever my mom freaked out, they were just a text or phone call away to calm her down. When our offer was accepted, we received a big moving box kit which included literally everything to get packing! Once we got the keys to MY new home, our house was filled with love from the ladies. They stocked our fridge full of kombucha, water, Pressed juices, left a humongeous thoughtful basket filled with wonderful items for the house, snackies, toys for myself, a lush comfy blanket and a personalized sign so my parents don't forget it's "MILO's HOUSE" oh! and they also included a personalized stamp with our new adress on it...brooooooo. We felt so much love bursting from every detail these ladies put into the personalization of our new home. We could not have asked for a better partnership and framily to guide us through this process. You can feel that they are truly genuine individuals who care and love with their whole hearts. Our first meeting with Matt, we spent over 90 minutes talking about our wants, needs, and preferences. He also walked us through their entire process, from our first tour through closing. From there, we had the chance to meet the team, and every single person over there is incredible. Ryan is like John D. Rockefeller fused with the Terminator (this is a compliment Ryan, I promise!) - he can spot issues and pain points in a house at a glance, and will literally leave no stone unturned to ensure things are up to code and built the way they're supposed to be (we watched him crawl into the smallest crawl space imaginable to check the insulation of a house once, I was shook). Karl is the most visionary man I've ever met, on several tours he painted a picture of all the ways we could modify a house to meet our preferences. I'm not talking about "hang a painting here", Karl would open his bid with "tear this half of the house down and rebuild it this way", and it was phenomenal. What I would give to pay a visit to his imagination. Matt is a force of nature. On any given day, he's juggling 5 of the craziest conversations and deals you can imagine, and HE has THEM all on the back foot. Matt knows the entire area and real estate market like the back of his hand, and always gave it to us straight as to what we were looking at. We certainly would not have found our dream house without his expertise, promptness, initiative, and professionalism. And of course there's Marta, who holds the whole operation together. What would we have done without her guidance in scheduling our tours and the weekly updates on our progress all the way up to and even after our closing! Two particular experiences stand out to me: On one house we were considering, we went back to visit at night to get a feel for the after-sun atmosphere. While we were there, Karl walked us through all the things about the house we might like or dislike, how we'd change them, and generally how the value of the house stood up to the asking price. We spent over an hour together that evening just chatting like old friends, and by the end of it, we determined that the house wasn't the one for us after all. In another instance, we toured a house that we were SURE was the one, so we went back in the evening with Ryan to look at it again. During that conversation, Ryan didn't try to convince us to make an offer or to walk away, he simply asked us questions. The one that got us was "let's pretend we were sitting in this house 5 or 10 years from now. Is it everything you need and want?". Walking through that exercise made us realize that the house was great for a childless couple, but perhaps not so once little ones become a factor. This was something we completely glossed over as we got caught up in the excitement of the house, and thanks to Ryan, we made the right choice to pass. In the end, we ended up buying the house of our dreams, a new build in the neighborhood we wanted with all of the things we were looking for. There's no way we would have ended up here without the entire team's expertise and willingness to endure a temporary "no" for the right "yes". I could not have asked for a better team to partner with for this search, and now we're happily in our dream house :) I would recommend GHAH 1000 times in a row, this whole team kicks serious ass.
