I'm surprised at how easily the brackets can come off. I've only had my braces 3 weeks & 2 brackets have come off. I follow their guidelines & avoid hard foods, etc. The teen next to me was in to get 4 brackets replaced. So I assume, this happens often. Of course during sign-up, they didnt mention that after 4 free brackets I'll have to pay a fee. read more

I brought my daughter here with confidence that they were going to be able to fix her overbite. Our initial consult was with Dr. Kar I believe. She told us to wait about a year because she was too young. She told me that they would use some sort of metal bars on the top sides of her teeth which would help pull her teeth back. We took her advice and waited the year. My husband brought my daughter in for the initial setup this time. I assumed it was the same Dr with the same plan. Obviously not! We only saw a male Dr this time. I asked him repeatedly, on multiple visits about the bars on the side of her mouth. He acted like he wasn't sure what I was talking about. My daughter has had her braces removed since, and I am still not happy with the end result. It's been about 6 months and I took her back to voice my concern. I was told the only thing that he could do was possibly remove a bottom tooth and start an Invisalign treatment which would of course cost me another several thousand dollars. What?!? Isn't this your expertise? Shouldn't you have come up with this game plan when starting her braces? My child's teeth were almost completely straight when I brought her here. My main concern was her overbite that she still has after her treatment has ended. I wish we would have gone somewhere else. **12/30/22** The response has a phone number listed that is invalid. While we have 3 people in our family that have braces, we have had only one problem... and it was a major one. The dentist professional at braces braces did not check to tie the sharp ends of the braces in my husband's mouth. He suffered severely for serval days even after going back to braces complaining to fix the sharp pieces it continued until he had blood on his tongue and a hole in the back of his mouth. He had other bruises around his mouth as well. This is certainly a quality control issue!! They just said they we are so sorry... they offered nothing for all the suffering my husband went through. read more

At first my visit with them was awful. The woman who goes over the payment plan was throwing insults at my teenage daughter stating she looked old and I need to watch her because she might be fast in so many ways. I made a complaint and never received a resolution from Nina. I'm not sure if that's her name but it starts with an "N". Upon returning the other staff members were extremely attentive, patience, and nice. I won't leave a bad rating due to one person because she doesn't define this business. No Way I would ever do business with this place again. Terrible! My son went to have a bonded retainer reapplied after it came off. It is a quick 10-minute thing to fix, we waited for well over 2 hours to get in there. They just re-used the same wire, did not put a new one on, it was bent..surprise surprise it was jabbing his face, so when he was at the dentist, they cut the end that was jabbing him and told me to take him back and have it fixed because they obviously did a crappy job....So I called them, they want me to pay another $100 to repair it, after they did a crappy job...um No Thanks! If you don't stand by your work, why would I pay them more money...I will pay a better quality place...I will never go here or recommend anyone do business here! read more

We have been very happy with the actual orthodontist but the rest of the staff really leaves something to be desired. We made an appointment face to face with one of the nurses (with my younger son) explaining that my older son was a current patient and has had some shifting since getting his braces removed and needed an appointment. The appointment was made and it was explicitly stated multiple times he would be coming in alone (he's 17). The nurse told me it would not be an issue, repeatedly. He would be put in the system as a "adult child" her words. She stated that they could call me after the appointment and even put in braces then and take payment over the phone if that's what the appointment warranted. He came in the next morning and was turned away stating that he can't be seen without a parent. Which is contrary to what we were told 24 hours prior. I called and spoke to the front desk associate, she explained that they need a parent present at the first appointment but he would be able to come to follow up appointments alone then was transferred to the office manager who I'm not sure was actually the office manager and was told that he could never be seen without a parent present and was quoted a law stating that in GA that anyone under 18 cannot be seen by any medical professional without a parent present. Which is untrue so if you're going to spout a law at people at-least make sure you're correct. It also goes against what I was told 5 minutes prior by the other front desk person He's been seen at his pediatrician and at an urgent care multiple times since turning 16 alone. Like I said the orthodontist is great, he is quick and has a great bedside manner. The rest of the staff could really use some training on their office policies because they can't seem to agree on what they are. We will find a different orthodontist for his next visit, the professionalism of this office is severely lacking. read more

I am very disappointed in the service and brushoff I received today at Braces Braces of McDonough. My braces were removed in October of 2020. I was fitted for my retainers. I recently lost my retainers and made an appointment to get new ones. When I got to the office the previous day I thought they would be ready because they still had a mold of my teeth from the first time, but they didn't. I had to get a new mold of my teeth. I went back today for the fitting of the retainers, and I told them they feel loose and my teeth have shifted. The doctor came over and basically asked me what I wanted him to do. I looked at him crazy because my degrees are not in Orthodontics. He then proceeds to try and push my together with his fingers. He had nerve to ask me if I want start the braces treatment over. I asked him were there any alternatives. He didn't offer any alternative like the Spring Retainers. He just walked off as well as brushed offed my concerns like about the gap forming back in front teeth. I was very disappointed in the service because I paid over $3,000 for my teeth to be straight with no gaps. Granted I did misplace my retainers, but I deserve better service and more compassion. I was going to ask about another plan Jaylen took the conversation as if to say we don't have time to talk with you are answer your questions, talk with your insurance company in such an angry way. Staff is amazing and all the orthodontists are friendly. Everyone takes the time to answer any questions you may have. The front desk staff is always pleasant with a smile on their face. The only downfall is that they only have one Saturday per month that they have appointments for but they book up fast. Also, they don't let you book at other locations to accommodate your needs since I work Monday-Friday 8a-5p. So it's hard to schedule an appointment. read more

I am extremely disappointed with my outcome and have attempted to contact the office after having my braces removed. Due to COVID, I wore braces for about two years instead of the 8-12 months I was originally scheduled to wear them. When the braces were removed, I expressed my concerns with the appearance of my teeth because the original deviations still existed. I was seen by two orthodontist in two offices and since they are the professionals, I trusted what they stated to be true and had the braces removed in December 2021. After removal, I expressed my dissatisfaction at each follow up visit and called the office to speak with the owner in February 2022. It is now April 2022 and still no return call and no corrective action. I wear the retainers and yet my teeth are now shifting back into place and the original problem still exists. While I was not/am not looking for perfection, the original orthodontist should have been honest when I was originally placed in braces. How is it impossible that all of the issues that led me to braces still exists? At the very least, the office manager or owner should have reached out in reference to my concerns. I spent over $3k only to end up with the same twisted smile and teeth sheering I started with and the braces actually wore away parts of my enamel and broke a tooth. Just awful! read more

People are okay but scheduling is a nightmare! I use a different ortho and have never had trouble rescheduling within a couple of days as opposed to a month wait for this place for my son. Emergency appointments aren't treated as emergencies either. Usually a couple of days wait and then you are sitting in the waiting room forever. Seriously considering changing orthos. Super cool office !! As someone who admires interior decorating, their office is super chic ! It's very refreshing from the boring run of the mill ortho office, that I'm sure we all have seen . It's a modern/transitional chic !From the wooden bench , abstract geometric colorful chairs , gold accent table art , tiny red elephant, etc !!i love it ! They have also decorated for Halloween!! The office is now painted with Cobb webs , faux skeleton hands , an on theme dungeon-esk wallpaper spiders creepy photos that add a tinge of darkness that wraps it altogether. Not scary of course lol but Again 10/10 in design! They're also Gifting patient with on theme car bags as well (orange and black ) with an orange brush to stay on theme .The design is always cohesive and well placed. The people are VERY friendly and helpful ! I actually choose them simple because I liked their environment lol. Come check them out ! read more
