He has an incredible ability to listen deeply while also offering thoughtful, practical guidance that actually helps you move forward. What stands out most is the balance he brings: he is warm and funny, yet also sharp and professional in how he approaches complex dynamics. His insights are consistently thoughtful and grounded, and he has a way of helping you see things more clearly without ever making you feel judged. Marriage therapy can feel vulnerable, but with Figs it feels constructive, safe, and helpful. And dare I say enjoyable. We've made real progress because of his guidance, and I'm incredibly grateful for the role he has played in helping strengthen our relationship. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Anyone who has the opportunity to work with him is very fortunate.

He has an uncanny ability to absorb what he hears, process it in real time, and then speak it back to you in a way that does two things -- 1) he makes you feel both completely heard and understood, which is incredible for someone who has only gotten a small glimpse into your relationship and dynamics, and 2) he quickly is able to verbalize the problematic personal + relationship systems you might have had a hunch were present but could not consciously articulate. I've loved working with Figs and highly recommend him to anyone looking to deepen their understanding of themselves and their relationship.

Working with Chad is more than just counseling, because he has a plan and structure to move you through reflection, meditation, and imagining the future that is intended to give you a roadmap and not just identify current feelings and challenges. However, because of the nature of the work that Dana Iscoff is privy to, it would feel really irresponsible not to warn other parents. I will simply quote a quote of another review (that's right 3 of us saying this) that really nails our experience with Dana : 'The woman has no boundaries, is arrogant, obnoxious and narcissistic'. I will add sexist and absolutely disengaged. If you have any desire to co-parent amicably, that will not happen with Dana. If you have any desire to work with someone who cares at all about the children involved, do NOT work with Dana. She is self-involved, inconsistent, and seems most concerned with collecting financial retainers. Stay away. Her reviews speak for themselves- she has the lowest reviews of an Ma/MFT in San Francisco- in SAN FRANCISCO, therapist Mecca. Im only writing this because her first impression is pretty solid but it immediately devolves and I am hoping to spare other couples/parents- otherwise Id never bother with this.

They have a stellar vetting process for who they allow to work there, and their therapists also study under more experienced and educated therapists, so you get many checks and balances for your mental health. In all honesty, the therapists going for their degrees through Marina counseling center have far surpassed a number of "licensed" therapists that I was matched up with through my insurance, who I can only assume were licensed through degree mills. I would trust any therapist working here over anyone found in the wild, any day, and they also charge on a sliding scale, which is super helpful when you're paying out of pocket/on a fixed income.

I have a revitalized passion for life and I owe much of it to the work I did with Jessica., who always kept my long term goals in mind and took every effort to provide a warm space to work in. I am so thankful for Jessica's approach, the space and support provided, and her holistic sense of what I needed in a given session. The knowledge and habits I have developed as a result of Jessica's care and support have made a huge difference in my life. Coming to the Connective was a wonderful development for me and I am forever appreciative of my time with Jessica. I feel ready to continue my journey and excited to continue my progress with the insights I have gleaned about myself, my relationships with others, and my outlook on life. As insurance did not cover our sessions, I paid totally out of pocket. That is the only reason why I am withdrawing from therapy; the sessions were worth the price, but my financial realities mean I need to take a break from The Connective. Brittany is honestly INCREDIBLE. I proactively searched her name on Google because the least I can…read moredo in return (for her helping me through so much) is share how wonderful she is through a review. I've always wanted to find a therapist who I felt really took the time to understand me while also being thoughtful enough to highlight patterns/insights about myself that I might not be noticing. With other therapists I tried (I went to about 4-5 other people), I always left the sessions feeling really neutral. As in I didn't feel like my previous therapists took the time to understand ME and instead gave me more generic advice that could apply to anyone. Brittany is not like that at all! She remembers the little details, and points out patterns/behaviors/things that I do all the time and I find myself having so many ah-ha moments with her. I always look forward to our sessions because I can't wait to get her nuggets of wisdom and comfort in helping me through both the small struggles and the big ones. I truly am so grateful to have found Brittany. If you're usually picky about who you want to work with, then she is your person. She is completely worth it and someone I will go to for as long as possible :]

This review isn't going to be quite as fun to read as my waxing poetic on hush puppies or pork…read morebelly ramen, but it's an important one. My childhood had some stuff. I mean *stuff*. Not that I need to get in a pissing contest with you about your stuff, but let's say at least 80th percentile bad stuff, here. Now, I knew for a few years that seeing a therapist would be a good idea. I wanted to gain some peace from all that stuff, and sort out how to better relate to other people without past demons getting in the way. I had no idea how I would get there. Or how it would be possible. Or even that it was possible. But that, folks, is why you pay for professional help. Brittany is most certainly professional. This is someone who knows what the hell she's talking about, and more importantly, what you're talking about. Often I've found she understands my motivations and reactions before I do. Crucially, Brittany is not afraid to call you out on your bullshit. Not in a confrontational or hostile way, but she will assert a different perspective when she sees one. Which is awesome, since this helps change patterns of thinking. And that's been the whole pattern of my work with her: getting help reconfiguring my brain, updating my perspectives and ensuring I see the larger context of how I act, feel and think. From the beginning, Brittany set herself apart by pointing out that she didn't want to milk my checkbook for years and years. In the space of just a few months, I've enjoyed a huge improvement in my sense of self and well-being. All without wallowing endlessly in bad memories and past traumas. Though the past provides useful context, the bulk of our work together has concerned the here-and-now. Which is great, since that's where you can actually change things. This is way beyond what my limited expectations would have allowed. So get off your ass and get to work on yourself, if that's what you need, and see if you like Brittany. You'll find her very easy to talk to and full of keen insight on the quirks of your mental state. One of my greatest joys is discovering people who are superlatively good at what whatever work they've applied themselves to. In that I can give Brittany my highest endorsement.
