After being seated in a comfortable spot we got menus. They only had German menus which was just fine. I chose to have the Schweinerbrauten which is a large portion of pork, with two potato dumplings and sauerkraut. The dish was absolutely delicious and it comes with a small container of extra sauce/gravy. I had a half liter of dark beer which was perfect. My dining partner had the Cordon Bleu which I had a taste and it was excellent. The service was very professional and friendly. We ended the meal with coffee which was a nice way to end the meal.

The duck with potato dumpling as well as the fish with potatoes were delicious. I also enjoyed a beautiful salad with a huge portion of goat cheese and my spouse loved the mushroom soup. Everything was delicious...including a tasty espresso to cap the evening. We would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone.

I had the weiner schnitzel and it was real veal that was prepared to order - not something frozen and premade and popped in the fryer. I could hear them pounding out the cutlet as is the real process for preparation. The egg wash was super light and flakey. The fry oil was fresh and didn't have that nasty old oil taste. The side salad was all fresh cut veggies in season. No brown aging on the radishes and they were crisp, not dried out. Super quality and you could taste the difference. This is a small family run operation and there were a few locals both inside and in the bier garten outside as I had a early dinner late on a Sunday afternoon. Service was prompt and same for meal prep, but it's a very relaxed atmosphere with no rush to turn a table. I will definitely eat here again.

I've never been tempted to go here before because it backs onto a quite major road and looks like it would be noisy, but actually it turned out to be relatively peaceful with a nice enclosed beer garden. The beer garden food is about as good as anywhere I've been that has a separate, outdoor bar and cook-house. One surprise is that they seem to serve really nice salads in the beer garden as well as more usual fair. Best of all, my favourite of all Bavarian beers, Konig Ludwig Dunkels is on sale here. I'd still go to Franzz in preference to here, but if you're looking for a nice beer garden in West Munich you could do a lot worse than here.

I had the Wurstsalat which was quite ok and the obatzda was also ok. I would happily come here again as it is much quiter than the South side of the Englischgarten and it is nice and quite surrounded by a lot of trees and so on. It is also less touristy in comparison to the biergartens elsewhere in the park.
