All were cooked perfectly and the side salad was a generous portion. The only small issue I had is that they charged me for tap water (which I found out is common in Germany). At the Wirt you get good value for your money by Grünwald standards. Friendly and efficient service. Not to mention an atmosphere very fitting to Munich's suburbs: you could call it upscale modern-bavarian. Kids who clean their plates get to venture into the kitchen to scoop their own ice-cream for dessert . Plenty of off-street parking. The Wirt is my local go-to restaurant for an evening of casual fine-dining.

I'm used to Caribbean and American food, and I don't eat meat so I was a bit worried at first. I've eaten here several times, both fir breakfast and dinner and have not been disappointed.

I've never been tempted to go here before because it backs onto a quite major road and looks like it would be noisy, but actually it turned out to be relatively peaceful with a nice enclosed beer garden. The beer garden food is about as good as anywhere I've been that has a separate, outdoor bar and cook-house. One surprise is that they seem to serve really nice salads in the beer garden as well as more usual fair. Best of all, my favourite of all Bavarian beers, Konig Ludwig Dunkels is on sale here. I'd still go to Franzz in preference to here, but if you're looking for a nice beer garden in West Munich you could do a lot worse than here.

I would definitely recommend for lunch option at minimum. Nice hospitality treatment after the Residence Museum where the staff was anti American sadly.
