Rude service. No phone number to contact them, even on their receipt. Cashier always remains on the phone when I visit.

This is Flash Foods store #251 and it's one of two Flash Foods located in Statesboro (the other is…read morestore #129 which is located only 1.7 miles away on Fair Rd, closer to downtown). Flash Foods stores are well-dispersed in small cities across Georgia, south of Atlanta. They're about the best convenience stores and gas stations you're going to find out in the country. While they're nowhere near the level of modern-day QuikTrip and RaceTrac stores, they're still satisfactory and get the job done and they sure beat a lot of sketchy gas stations out there. We stopped by this Flash Foods on our way out of Statesboro back to Atlanta. It's on highway 301 which connects to I-16. The gas prices here were equivalent to what I paid at a QuikTrip in metro Atlanta just three days prior, so I'd say the gas prices are reasonable/competitive. The filling station was busy. It has 10 pumps for unleaded fuel and a separate pumping area for diesel fuel (looked to be about 4-5 diesel pumps there). The filling station is open 24/7. They use the same (or similar) model Gilbarco Veeder-Root fuel dispensers as QuikTrip, just a different color palette. Instead of red and black, it's blue and beige. The station was clean and in good-enough condition; not as nice as the new QuikTrips and RaceTracs I like at home, but for Statesboro, it'll do.

Enmarket - Outside the gas station. View with Fair Road at my back. 10 pumps at this enmarket.

When I pointed out this gas station, my wife, being a local Statesboro girl, asked me, "You know…read moreEnmarket is from Savannah, right?" I think I did know that at one point because one of our family's go-to gas stations in Hilton Head is the Enmarket just outside the Sea Pines Resort: https://www.yelp.com/biz/enmarket-hilton-head-2 We knew it as Enmark, not Enmarket. All "Enmark" stores were eventually rebranded to "Enmarket" in 2020. Currently, there are five Enmarkets in Statesboro. This location at 1609 Fair Road is curiously close to another location almost catty-corner, at 17874 GA-67 (Highway 67, same road as Fair Road). They were both Clyde's Markets back in the day. Anyone know what's up with that? Enmarket announced they had acquired all Clyde's Market stores on December 1, 2017: https://enmarket.com/enmarket-acquires-clydes-markets/ This Enmarket was fine. It was clean, felt safe enough, and I was able to pay outside with my phone (NFC). This Enmarket has 10 pumps compared to 12 at the aforementioned Highway 67 location. The Highway 67 location also appears to have the bigger and nicer-looking convenience store. These two locations are only about a quarter-mile from each other. I will say if you're headed into town, making a left out of this Enmarket can be "difficult" if Fair Road is "busy" because there's no stoplight at Rushing Lane. When I tried to check in here on Yelp, I noticed there wasn't a business listing so I created this one.
