This is our nearest gas station, and there's little I can say about it other than that it's close and convenient.

I have waited a bit to write this review, and finally it was time to do so. I had once visited…read moreabout four years ago until recently. I can report that not much changed from that visit until now. Some things had changed since I was here last. The outside seems to have been spruced up. It is actually more appealing to the eye. I think we can contribute that to the fact that the area is being spruced up in a whole. Also they seem to have food for takeout, I don't remember that the last time I was here. However, some things don't change. When I pulled in this time I noticed that a majority of the staff were outside having a smoke break, not far from the gas pumps nonetheless. When I went inside I wanted to purchase something. When I walked up to the counter and asked for it I found the employee behind the register on her cell phone and not paying attention. Instead of getting up and looking if they had the product it was kind of a dismissive nod in the general area with a generic response. I guess the lesson here is that some things never change. I would assume that if I lived in the area I would come to embrace this place the way it is, but as a person passing through the neighborhood it does not feel inviting. I also wanted to note that I did have a review for this place prior and was recently informed that it was removed. I had described myself in a way that came off as offensive even though it was myself who I was talking about. So here is a review, based on my experience, with a non description of myself.

I walked up to the door and she literally waved goodbye to me. Long story short, the closing time is 9:40 PM.

The one star Saga begins as I walk in to the store I didn't see her name tag but it was about 1:00 that after noon on Thursday December 30th. The Get Go on 18th and Carson St on the south side Beautiful African American woman cashier. BTW so you know her, Long black hair, dark skin and she was the cashier that day. proceed to just purposly be rude and unprofessional. Because I was in the wrong place for a bus Connect Card Refill She was short with me, very rude and unhelpful. except telling me Giant Eagle refills them. Well hallelujah, where is it so I asked if there was one nearby..."YES" I'm looking at her like "well Where" I'm not a bus rider usually so I was looking for assistance. Another much nicer woman employee seen from a distance things could go south so she interjected so politely and told me where the Giant Eagle was. The other cashier still had inapporiate words for me like she was on the street ready to scuffle. I apologized for my responses to her and asked her to forgive me as I was also having a bad day. The last words I heard was her yelling at me "I'M NOT HAVING A BAD DAY" I wished them both a Happy New Year Because God ain't through with me. It could have turned really really mean and belligerent. She don't know who is coming in that store. I'm a good person but people will be really surprised what customers do when they feel disrespected. They come behind counters so be careful young lady. I'd never ever do that but don't mean another will not. Then I thought oh she must Dodge men's advances all the time and I felt like damn get defenses up. But no way should any one be treated like that by some one working in hospitality and service So I'm calling her Boss and Corporate because that's not going to be tolerated. If you know her tell her I'M TELLING ON HER Rudeness isn't allowed is it Yelp....I didn't think so so Boss expect for your phone to ring a ling tomorrow.
