I was in the area and needed gas really bad. I generally like to go to Getgo's as i get a discount with the Giant Eagle card. I would say one gas station is pretty much the same as the next, The only difference would be price and any discounts that might be offeredoffered. I found a pump immediately and was in and out in about 5 minutes. This is one of Getgo's smaller stations not that many pumps. Get Go used to be awesome. When they first came out as a food service, competing with Sheetz, their food blew Sheetz away. Well... The thrill is gone. Their footlongs are on skinny, anemic buns. I ordered an Italian. The 'everything' bread is just a swipe of a couple spices not lending any additional flavor to the sandwich, but the meat- is still somewhat substantial. Their pizza, while only costing $4.99 for a small with pep, was a good price point- after us each having a slice- It wasn't worth saving the other 2 slices. To the trash it went. Their tots were pretty good, but lacked salt. good thing we weren't trying to eat in our vehicle. My big issue was that about 4 hours after eating, my stomach decided it wasn't enjoying the sandwich and things were south. It must have been something on the sandwich, as my wife didn't get sick at all and everything she ate- I had at least a bite. So... the other half of the footlong went in the trash as well. I really like the made to order food that you can get from here. They feature different items throughout the seasons and they always end up tasting delicious. I order sandwiches mostly, but I have ordered pizza and hush puppies, fries etc. They all seem good, so kudos to the staff. This is the best Get Go Kitchen in the South Side. The other one isn't as nice and has no seating area. This one is quick and clean always. I always enjoy what ever they have on the grab-and-go whether it's refrigerated or in their warmer. Staff is friendly and keeps it chill even when they are busy. I've witnessed multiple time someone call their coworker over and open another register, which is always appreciated. read more

Normally this would not mess with me, but the people making my food had friends come up to the counter talking to them for at least 10 minutes and obviously made them work very slow. I am kind of mystified by this GetGo. I mean it is located at the end of the South Side where not much is really going on, but it is constantly busy. I mean at all hours of the day. Even the late hours of the night to the wee hours of the morning. Like most GetGos the kitchen is super slow. I ordered food to go thinking I would get a quick snack and I was wrong for sure. I waited close to fifteen minutes. As for the food, nothing spectacular. Expensive gas, but pretty good food. I go here for coffee every so often and there are a lot of options (if I had to guess I'd say 6-8 different types of coffee). The coffee is always hot and every type that I've tried has some flavor to it. They also have a wide array of food options ranging from typical gas station snacks and grab-and-go breakfast sandwiches to made-to-order specialty subs (try the buffaLoaded). The food is definitely of the fast-food variety, but it is much better than would be expected from a gas station. It is pricier than might be expected from a gas station, but the additional value is apparent in the quality of the food and coffee. read more

I've been to this location multiple times. During the day, it's very busy. The lines are long. You'll have a 5/10 minute wait inside. Late night, I've had a lot of horrible experiences. Most times, it's waiting 15-30 minutes for food. This particular night, (1:45-2am) I was not given my full amount of change because they didn't have it in the register. I was not given the option to wait for someone to give me the correct amount of money that was owed to me. It was "here's your change, it's not the right amount cuz I don't have it". Sure, maybe it was only nickels and dimes, but a gas station is expected to have nickels and dimes in their register. read more

I am not that picky of an eater, and I thought the first time was a fluke - but I ended up throwing out both drinks. So I know that this is a gas station and it shouldn't be put at 5 star restaurant standards, but I still expect an experience I am tolerate! The gas services are fine, that isn't the issue. The real problem is the indoor service. The made to orders (will be referred to as MTO from now on) are you're typical machine. I had trouble finding some options as the text is small and the pictures aren't always clear. But now I'm getting to my issue with this establishment. There are 4 cashiers, I dealt with two. I was there with my father and we went to the most cleared up register. We were then told (after waiting in line) that we had to go to the register to the left, as they had a two line system. This was never made clear, and is just terrible design. We then had to wait even longer to check out, and then the lady at the register just walked away! She didn't come back for a minute, and when she did she didn't speak a word to us. I've seen it as a common occurrence in other reviews that the workers are catty and unpleasant, and I unfortunately had the same catty and snappy employees. The people at the MTO station weren't pleasant either. There isn't anything special about the food, you can find the same at any GetGo, WaWa, Sheetz, or any other similar stations. The only thing keeping this from 1 star is the large parking area and the outdoor seating, although I'm not sure why you like to stay here any longer than needed. (EDIT: I had to come back and I got a 3 snack mix. I thought I was getting a good deal, but when I opened it up I found that I was only given 1 mozzarella stick. That's completely outrageous, as they should at least account for 1/3 of the 3 snack meal.) read more

This is a really nice gas station. It is modern, with lots of well-lit pumps and a free air station. The inside is very spacious and has a made to order bar, small grocery selection and an expansive gas station snack/drink selection. I find that the interior is very clean every time I go in. I make a point to go to Get Go instead of CoGo because it is that much nicer. Docking a star because they often only have one cashier, even at busy times, and checkout lines can be long. read more

I normally go to the Getgo on 18th when I'm on the South Side, but this one on E Carson is bigger, fancier, has way more parking, and just always felt better. Today I went in for lunch (probably my 3rd time at this location), and there were 3 cashiers but the lines were super unorganized and not one of them was communicating with customers to tell us where to go. The man in front of me waited to pay for 5 minutes and had his MTO food number yelled several times (I heard it 7 times) impatiently by the food workers while he was waiting to pay. I finally got to pay and the cashier didn't smile or talk to me at all. She didn't ask for my Advantage card and I held it in front of her for about 30 seconds (which is a long time in a very short transaction) before she started paying attention and scanned it. When my food was called, the man yelled "3283 BUFFALO WINGS". That was my number so I walked up, but I did not order buffalo wings, so I hesitated. The man proceeded to yell my number at me again, and then told his coworker to make buffalo wings next, at which point I realized he was trying to talk to 2 people at once and couldn't take 5 seconds of his time to simply say my number and thank me. Not very good customer service from those working today. I get it's lunch hour and busy but I've worked in food service and you can do better than that. With only about 12 people in the store, 3 cashiers, and 5 people behind the food counter, you can afford to take 5 seconds to provide average customer service. On a side note, the free air machine was out of order. Disappointing. Every problem individually would have been fine. Nothing was a huge deal. But everything added together makes me give this location only 2 stars. Getgo on 18th....there may not always be parking, but dang. Everybody who works there is 500000x nicer and friendlier. apparently there are 2 review pages for this get-go.. just deleted my old one and transferred over to here. This Get-Go is closer to me than the one on 18th. My old apartment was near a get go, so it feels good to have one nearby. The actual gas pump area at this location doesn't seem to be as busy or congested as most stations. Inside is similar to all Get Go's including the seating area to enjoy your made to order food. All of the staff is friendly. Just an fyi, I haven't seen a red box at this location. It may be on the opposite side, but most are right near the door. Atleast there is still a surcharge free ATM inside :))) 3 cents off gas with your advantage card. Gas is always average at this station. It's easy to get in and out of. read more

Decent GetGo, this is the only location (out of two) in the Southside that has public bathrooms. The one on Sarah and 18th Street does not and also does not have gas pumps. Cleanliness is as expected. Decent selection of drinks and on the go snacks/bars. Usually a police officer stationed in the side parking lot on weekend nights either taking a break or monitoring activity. read more

I work very close to this store and, at first, I was very pleased to have a 24 hour location available for late night snacks and meals. However, I am so frustrated with the service that I will only enter the store in an absolute emergency. Most importantly, if you intend to get hot food and you see a short heavy girl with glasses named Sheré, just turn around and go somewhere else. About the fifth time I watched her use the wrong ingredients on my sub sandwich, which aren't particularly cheap, I demanded my money back and left. She has no problem throwing food in the microwave instead of frying it or leaving cheese off or whatever it takes to get her job done as quickly as possible. I have seen her drop utensils on the floor and continue to use them. She is not friendly or accommodating, and is quite loud and insulting. If you value your time and money, and you see her behind the counter, again, turn around and go somewhere else, even any other getgo. Other than that one glaring problem, they are terrible at restocking inventory of all kinds If you can see my profile, you will know I have never been so frustrated or annoyed as to write a single other angry review.
