Plenty of clean and available bathrooms, and there is both a Pepsi brand AND a Coke brand fountain drink machine with really good ice. Cindy at check-out was so friendly! She greeted me when I arrived and later commented on our shared enthusiasm for beaded bracelets at check out. I gifted her one of my blue Infinite Warrior beaded bracelets as she and I both said the blue bracelet represents one of our children and she'd recently lost her blue bracelet which honors her son. This is an older Mobil station with a convenience store. Their gas prices tend to be a little…read morehigher than others in the area. In a time when gas prices are high everywhere and going up, this does make a difference. I find their car wash does a pretty good job. It is not touchless like some of the newer stations have but it does a good job. The convenience store could be updated a little but they have most of what you'd need. They also carry propane tanks and firewood. I do need to say the staff is very friendly. However, they are chronically understaffed. This has caused them to close on occasion.

This was a frustrating place. I tried paying at the pump at least five times by sliding it into the…read morecard reader and using the tap to pay function. When I pulled the nozzle it said prepay was required, so I tried it all over again. Each time I put my card into the reader, it locked it in there, but then when I retrieved it after it unlocked the card and pulled the nozzle I'd get the "prepay required" message again. I went inside and prepaid a few bucks just to get out of there and get the gas I needed to make it to my destination. Luckily I think I'll never visit this station again since it's way out in Hoffman Estates.

I tried pumping gas on pump 11 or 12 at this gas station and the gas wouldn't come out, It was charging me, but not coming out. So I stopped, and went in for a refund. Firstly the man behind the counter was making 3 of us wait while he was on the phone. I couldn't understand what he was saying on the phone so it may or may not have been work related, oh well, but he didn't make it quick. The guy in front of me paid for gas and handed him the cash and the dude didn't know how to give him his change so they argued, then it was my turn. He said since I used my debit card there's no way to refund me. I told him there was something wrong with it and the gas didn't come out while I was pumping and I asked him if that was an ongoing issue, or if it was because I was pumping gas while the person across from me was pumping gas m, or what. He didn't really have an answer, He wasn't willing to give me my 88 cents back. Whatever, I told him that's fine but he needs to put out a sign that says the pump isn't working. To which he mumbled "The pump has worked all day" and I said "the pump has been working all day? well it's not now. You need to make sure no one else wastes their money at this pump". No movement. No effort to fix the situation. Highly suggest the shell on wise and roselle instead. At least they know what customer service is.

I usually add a car wash to my gas so I can get a code on my receipt. But you can also pay for just a waah if you prefer. I have only had to go inside a couple of times when my gas pump card reader wasn't working, but for the most part, this is a fast and easy gas stop. Be careful when exiting on to Higgins Road when you leave as traffic often comes up pretty fast from the busy corner of Higgins & Golf.

Oh well, let's get a $13 car wash to rinse off all this salt from the snow- tried my card, the screen said cash only at this time. Put in $20, machine gave me back correct change then had an error saying I needed to insert more payment with the screen saying the carwash costs $13 and a payment of $13 was made. Huh? Went inside and was not helped at all. Can you help? No, the registers are not working right. Can I get a new code for the carwash? No, not trained on carwash. Asked for a refund, no, come back when the manager is there tomorrow.
