Turning left across three lanes of cross traffic on Algonquin and Roselle Roads can be treacherous. You're better off making a right, then making a u-turn.

She greeted me when I arrived and later commented on our shared enthusiasm for beaded bracelets at check out. I gifted her one of my blue Infinite Warrior beaded bracelets as she and I both said the blue bracelet represents one of our children and she'd recently lost her blue bracelet which honors her son. (Or as nice as a gas station can look.) This station has a car wash and a nice convenience store. I've found that the people they hire at the convenience store are always very nice to their customers. On a few occasions, I have seen them get testy. Still, generally, this is when a customer mistreats them since they either work at a gas station and feel they are above the workers or perhaps since many of them are not initially from the US, it could be bigotry. I've never had an issue at all when stopping in their store. The pumps are modern. While the car wash is typical with rollers that slap the car while washing, it does a decent job of learning. The big downside to this Mobil is they tend to be more expensive than other stations in the area. One reason I don't go there more frequently is the gas prices. I stopped this time because I was driving on fumes, and the station was right there. We need gas, and while complaining about the high prices, we still buy it. I didn't even look at the price per gallon until I started pumping the gas, and I was shocked when I saw what regular unleaded cost. The cost is the main reason for the three-star review. I do not agree that this is a one-star experience as many of the other reviews suggest. Of course, when I'm by there and need gas, I will still go there if it is convenient.

When I pulled the nozzle it said prepay was required, so I tried it all over again. Each time I put my card into the reader, it locked it in there, but then when I retrieved it after it unlocked the card and pulled the nozzle I'd get the "prepay required" message again. I went inside and prepaid a few bucks just to get out of there and get the gas I needed to make it to my destination. Luckily I think I'll never visit this station again since it's way out in Hoffman Estates.

I tried pumping gas on pump 11 or 12 at this gas station and the gas wouldn't come out, It was charging me, but not coming out. So I stopped, and went in for a refund. Firstly the man behind the counter was making 3 of us wait while he was on the phone. I couldn't understand what he was saying on the phone so it may or may not have been work related, oh well, but he didn't make it quick. The guy in front of me paid for gas and handed him the cash and the dude didn't know how to give him his change so they argued, then it was my turn. He said since I used my debit card there's no way to refund me. I told him there was something wrong with it and the gas didn't come out while I was pumping and I asked him if that was an ongoing issue, or if it was because I was pumping gas while the person across from me was pumping gas m, or what. He didn't really have an answer, He wasn't willing to give me my 88 cents back. Whatever, I told him that's fine but he needs to put out a sign that says the pump isn't working. To which he mumbled "The pump has worked all day" and I said "the pump has been working all day? well it's not now. You need to make sure no one else wastes their money at this pump". No movement. No effort to fix the situation. Highly suggest the shell on wise and roselle instead. At least they know what customer service is.

I usually add a car wash to my gas so I can get a code on my receipt. But you can also pay for just a waah if you prefer. I have only had to go inside a couple of times when my gas pump card reader wasn't working, but for the most part, this is a fast and easy gas stop. Be careful when exiting on to Higgins Road when you leave as traffic often comes up pretty fast from the busy corner of Higgins & Golf.
