I thought to try it again today and I experienced the same result. Apparently this equipment is not being maintained properly and the cleaning cycle does not have the detergent or intensity that it once had.

The remaining amount of that hold after purchase takes *6 days to clear your bank*. That means the extra $50 from last week's fill up is still on hold, as well as almost $50 from today's fill up, until midnight when the first $50 is released from hold. Why am I still giving it 4 stars? The manager kindly explained the situation, told me it was out of his control, gave me me his station ID number, and gave me the number of Shell Corporate to call. Not only that, but this station has always been much cleaner than the one at 13th and College. My car has always run best on the Shell V-Power premium fuel, but it's a shame that there are less and less Shell stations around, and even a bigger shame about the bank pre-authorization holds. If you are low on bank funds, my advice is either pay cash or find somewhere else, because the money that is on hold for 6 days could be used to buy things, like say, food, groceries, or rent...

So today, 8/31/2024, gas price is listed at $2.99. I don't…read morethink much about it, fill up, and come home (30 minutes away). When logging my receipt, I notice that I was charged almost $50, and take a closer look and see that I was charged for "super" gas at $3.99 per gallon, a whopping $1 higher than advertised. I have been putting gas in my car for over 20 years and know how to press the "regular" button. I called the station to find out if I'm imagining things. This was my conversation: "Hi, how much is your gas, regular grade?" "2.99" "How about your premium grade?" ""3.39" "Oh, I think your machine is faulty. I was charged $3.99" "no, that can't happen." "Um, I'm looking at the receipt. Can you check?" "How much does it say, total?" "$49.76" "Oh, you put in the super grade, $3.99" "I put the regular grade. And you just told me the premium grade was $3.39?" "Yes, the premium is 3.39, but the mid grade is 3.99." "Your mid grade is more expensive than the premium?" "yes. You just put in the wrong gas." So I should have looked at this while pumping, I guess, though I never felt the need to do so in all my 20 years of driving. It is "possible" that I put in the wrong gas - the MEDIUM grade that is MORE EXPENSIVE than the PREMIUM grade and called "super" on the receipt. But I really feel like this was more of a scam/shady business practice than me choosing the wrong gas grade. It just isn't the type of mistake that's so easy to make, and the price points for the grades all just don't fall into place. (Thank you fellow yelper for a picture of their gas pump - their gas grades are called "regular, silver, ultimate". They don't even have "super" which is listed on my receipt. Which is also the mid grade and more expensive than their premium.) It's too bad that the gas station is 30 minutes away and not worth the drive. It's also too bad that my faith in BP and honest business practices has been tattered and from now on I will have to be looking at my receipt and pump more diligently. What a shame.

This is a good choice if you have four errands to run, 1) fill up on petrol, 2) grab some sweet and…read moresome salty snacks, 3) wash the car and 4) pick up some beer. The gas station part has usually good prices, a better than average selection of snacks and the car wash isn't a bad deal. On the property is a good liquor store with a wide selection of beer and spirits.

I called AAA for a tow and told the gas station attendant that my car would not start and that I called AAA to come tow my car. The attendant told me to leave my car there and go home and wait for the tow truck! He insisted I need to leave! I told the attendant that I have to stay with my car because the tow truck guy needs to see my AAA card. The attendant then told me I can't wait by my car and that I need to leave the property before he calls the police, he then proceeded to call the police because the tow truck was going to be at least 1-2hrs before they could tow me. My car was not impeding the flow of traffic to this business. My car was parked in the corner of the lot. The police came and while I was explaining to the police what was going on the tow truck came. I did nothing wrong. I did exactly what anyone would do in this situation. The police laughed and left. The tow truck driver got me the heck outta there. In the end this attendant's behavior didn't surprise me and when I told my friends what happened they weren't very surprised either. The guy who works on 3rd shift is very abrasive, he is always on his phone listening to the person on the phone instead of the customer in front of him. I have to repeat what I've said to him almost every time I've stopped in on 3rd shift. I was able to look past his poor communication skills as a gas station attendant but after calling the police on me I'm done with this business.
