Not Handy: When the miserable human being that rented my Zipcar previously leaves me with no gas. Handy: This conveniently located Shell Station. It's just as exorbitantly priced as the rest of the gas stations in NYC, but since Zipcar is paying, it really doesn't matter to me. What does matter, is that as you're standing there waiting for the tank to fill up, there's a nice little TV screen at each pump that shows various clips like the ESPN Play of the Day. And after a long, horrible day...you appreciate the little things. You reminisce about a simpler era, when you had the time to watch and appreciate sports. Then you go back to daydreaming about winning the lottery that you never actually buy tickets for. __________ *And even if I did, I wouldn't give you a ride because you NEVER throw down for gas money. I called the local Brooklyn Pep Boys, they said I'd have to come in and get a ticket and then they would see me to get wiper fluid in about 90 min from the time I get the ticket. Am I in an alternative universe?! What is happening? So I just randomly called this Sunoco and a super friendly guy answered the phone. He said "no problem. Come on over," or something like that. I drove there and he freaking greeted me without me getting out of the car. He could obviously tell I was the frantic girl w/ a wiper fluid issue. I don't know squat about cars. I asked if I could see were he pulled the lever to release the hood, and my request for a tiny car maintenance lesson was granted. He put the wiper fluid in; he did it all super quick. The whole thing was beautiful. In & out in less than 5 min and customer service is 100%. THIS is where I'll always stop on my way to Costco now. Kudos!
