The location was easy to enter and exit while traveling eastbound on NC Highway 54. Unfortunately, the men's room was very messy and had a foul odor--not the best experience. The coffee area was well maintained, although I had to hunt for the half-and-half. It also had a slop sink, which is a huge bonus for keeping the area clean. Most importantly, my coffee was delicious, and I really enjoyed it. The self-checkout was very slow, and when I asked for assistance, no one came to help. I wasn't planning to purchase gasoline, but I noticed that Sheetz's price was approximately 20 cents per gallon higher than at a station down the street. Overall, the convenient access and delicious coffee were positives, but the messy restroom, lack of assistance, and higher gasoline price detracted from my visit.

How was I supposed to know the pathing here when there are no clear indication? This is just poorly-managed station, just like its associated warehouse in this particular location.

We stopped by this Circle K convenience store and Shell gas station, on our way back to Chapel Hill…read morefrom Cary, to fill up. It's about six minutes away from I-40 exit 287 (Harrison Avenue - Cary). This Shell station has eight pumps. At first, I tried to use pump 6, but it wouldn't take my card. I then realized there was a handwritten note on pump 6 that said to pay inside. I walked to pump 8 and noticed pump 8 did not have a sign that said the same, so I used pump 8 instead. I paid at the pump as I normally do with my card. I had no issues except the fuel gloves and paper towels were all out on the side of the station I was on. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, I use a paper towel to touch gas pump buttons and handles. It was nice they actually had a box of fuel gloves. Costco is the only other place I've seen them. Too bad they were out of both gloves and paper towels. I filled up for $3.419 per gallon of premium, which was expensive. Using the app GetUpside, I was able to get $0.19 per gallon back.
