Oh, and I love that this is still one of the few places that trusts their customers enough that they let you fill up before paying. I hate when you have to either swipe your card at the pump, or go in and give them money before they turn it on. Either you didn't give them enough and your car doesn't fill up, or you gave them too much, then you have to go back in and ask for your change. I hate that many gas stations do that. Their prices are always competitive to those in the area. The parking lot has ample parking and the convenience store itself is large with a great selection. If you're in the neighborhood and looking for a good place to grab some ice cream, United Dairy Farmer's is a great place to go! It's a gas station and convenience store with a dining area by the ice cream section, so there's constant traffic of people buying gas or supplies. However, it's also a favorite spot for people in the area to grab some ice cream! Their ice cream selection is pretty impressive, and they have a variety of dishes/sundaes/etc. to try out! They also make shakes, malts, and offer seasonal specials (e.g. limeade during the summer) throughout the year! Recently I noticed they run constant specials each week or so on different kinds of ice creams or beverages as well, so be sure to ask what specials they have (they also have promotional signs on the ice cream cases)! This is my favorite UDF in the area; the other one on Glen Este Withamsville is notorious for being less clean and also having horrible service. We often come here after dining at another restaurant in the area (e.g. El Rancho Grande, Panera, etc) to satisfy our sweeth tooth cravings. The nice part about this kind of place is that they have a dining section in a separate area from the food/supplies/drinks/etc., so you don't have to deal with the traffic as much. They have classic flavors such as chocolate, vanilla, cookie dough, sherbet, black raspberry chip, and more! The one downside I'm not as fond of is the fact that because it is primarily a gas station, the service can be really sketchy. I did not know where I lost my wallet until your employee left me a Facebook message asking if I lost something at the Thortons gas station.  Unfortunately I did not see this message until Sunday.  I called Thorntons but they told me the employee doesn't come in till noon Monday 16th 2026. I went to the station at 12:30 and spoke to the employee. Then employee immediately got sad and apologized to me. The employee said they did not work the weekend and told me that the draw where they kept all the left and lost items was thrown away on the weekend.  I was astonished since my wallet had my driver's license, credit card and $70.  I thanked the employee since they took the time to notify me. Employee told me a customer found it and turned it in with all the money and items in the wallet. I asked if I could look in the garbage to see if I could find it. I was told they did not know when the garbage gets picked up. The manager would know. They got the manager to talk to me. I asked when they pick up the garbage. He said they come several times a week. I asked why would you thrown out items. He said in a week all the items would over flow the draw.  I said even wallets. He said yes. I asked him if I could look for my wallet. He pointed to the dumpsters and gave me permission.  I looked at both dumpsters, one just had new boxes in it the other was empty.  A policy of throwing out wallets with drivers licenses in them is wrong and unacceptable.  Employee said they were trying to do the right thing for me and even saw I was a vet on my driver's license.  Most stores at least take the wallet with a driver's license to the police station. To have a policy to throw out wallets after two days is wrong. I want someone from your corporate office to call me to understand this policy and change your process so this does not happen to another customer.   It's rare to have a stranger turn in wallet intact to a store employee. Then the employee contacts the customer, only to have a policy preventing the item being returned to the owner because it is thrown out. Two outstanding deeds erased by one bad action. Thortons told me that there was nothing they could do. I was astonished, confused and disappointed!!!

They tend to have great clearence items at the end of the register and drink sales as well. For example, 20oz A&W Rootbeer is buy one, get one free a lot.
