Attendant came out and told me that they put another customers cash on the wrong pump and requested I pay the difference. I declined and refused to pay $12 for someone else's fuel so they ran across the street and flagged down the police. The police came and turned a five minute fuel stop into a 30 minute ordeal. Moral of the story, if you're in a hurry, keep driving. Also the attendant implied that I was a thief instead of admitting they messed up. End of story, was forced to pay $12 for someone else's fuel. Entire ordeal 36 minutes. @bp it's whoever was working midnight at 7/6/24 into 7/7/24. I'm pretty sure all employees were baked.

Later, I had a $175 charge from this station on my Discover card. I called the station and this is their procedure, if you swipe your card at the pump, they put a $175 "hold" on your card. There was NO notice of this policy. I called Discover and they confirmed Love's policy and that they put a pending status for $175 on cards, and that it can take 10 days to be processed and the charge removed and the real charge recorded. Love's has lost a customer. Post the policy, alert customers to the $175 and provide an option. I had cash and could easily have paid that way. So long Love's--and I hope others see this policy for what it is.

This is a gas station off of the interstate in Rochester, Indiana. It serves its purpose. That…read morepurpose is to provide fuel, a restroom and, perhaps, a convenience store at which you might find something to eat and drink. The one thing I wanted to drink was coffee, but the coffee they had seemed like it had been left out quite a while. So, pass! I found something else to drink, and when I went to pay, the card reader did not work at the register, so the attendant took my card to a different, out-of-the-way location to scan. OK! I felt like I might need to check my credit card statement after that encounter. This gas station has OK restrooms, and also a shower area for truckers. It's also attached to a restaurant that offers "Maxcian" street food. Oh, rural Indiana! Never stop being exactly who you are.

The parking lot is big and easy to navigate, which makes pulling in hassle-free even when it's busy. Inside, the store feels roomy with a solid selection of snacks, drinks, and the usual travel-stop essentials. The hot food area looked fine, but it definitely could use a bit more attention during busier times. Restrooms were available, but they weren't the cleanest when I visited. They were usable, just not great. The checkout line moved quickly, and the staff handled things efficiently without slowing anyone down. The fuel pumps were clean, well-lit, and spaced out enough to avoid that cramped, chaotic feel you sometimes get at travel centers. Prices were standard for a Pilot, nothing surprising. Overall, it's a decent place to stop, refuel, and stretch your legs. Not the cleanest option out there, but it gets the job done if you're passing through. I usually get a craving for doughnuts when I'm at a gas station but having a Dunkin Donuts right there makes it impossible to resist that craving. They are usually fairly consistent with being clean and fairly average with their gas prices.

This gas station has the restroom on the outside, and you need to ask for the key, which is on a big stick that you know hundreds of people have touched. How many of those people have washed their hands after using the restroom before touching the big stick? One never wants to think about those things, and so we shan't. Like all Speedways, this one also has little snacky things and coffee. Plus, because it's also a gas station, you can fuel up your vehicle here.
