Wowzer- We camped for the weekend- great time but on the way home discovered the entrance door was bolt locked shut (only door on the unit) We never lock while traveling for easy access to facilities and food. Got home and it still would not unlock! We had medicine, money and food in camper. I called our local Forest River dealer - Boyer RV Center - spoke with a very nice and courteous Jason - serve rep. He asked me to bring it in. He came right to me No waiting around. He tried to open but no go. got his boss, Brian, a ladder and tried all the slider windows but nothing was budging. They needed to drill out lock and taped the deadbolt in place I am very impressed with the customer service they provided- kudos to Jason and Brian! Thank you!!! read more

This is my second review of Boyer RV in 6 months, however, it is very warranted. Just a week before Labor Day our black tank valve became inoperable on our 2022 Grand Design 22RBE camper. We purchased this camper used 6 months earlier from Boyer. The Boyer team went over the top to replace our valve prior to the holiday weekend. The job was expertly completed. If I could rate them a negative million stars I would. The nightmare that I endured with the purchase of my Camper is beyond words. I should have known better after getting screwed the last one I bought there, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. So because I tried to give them a chance, I got a rotten roof, a sub par repair leading to a new roof, which isn't installed very well, and they "forgot" to winterize my camper leading to broken valves, pipes, toilet and water lines. And to top it off, today I take it to a reputable shop here only to find out the hitch that was installed, was installed totally incorrectly and I am very, very lucky that I didn't damage my truck or better yet kill someone! So buyer beware! Don't learn the hard way like I did. read more

Dishonest salesmen. They like to put things like "Fix if we can" on a contract before telling you they can't fix it. When I asked for records of who looked at it and when (as it was in the signed contract the day we drove off the lot and we never took it back) they stated they didn't keep those kinds of records, but assured me SOMEONE looked at it and decided it couldn't be fixed. This was in a brand new RV. After going round and round with the salesman and others, I was told a manager would get back to me. 3 weeks later no contact. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. Please note all the 5 star reviews are from people out of town that needed emergency work. I'm sure Boyer had no problem fitting them in and taking their money. read more

We have a Grand Design Reflection that we purchased from a dealer in Texas and are on vacation. We were having difficulty getting the kitchen slide to extend or retract. Zach, the service manager, took time out of his busy day to look at it and discuss options with us about it. In the end, we decided to limp it back home rather than spend weeks waiting on Grand Design approval for fixes and parts. But Zach gave us the peace of mind that it was safe to do so. Normally service departments won't give you the time of day unless you're spending money on them, so it was greatly appreciated. This dealership is a true gem. read more

We had an emergency situation: our awning broke off while travelling through a storm on I79 near Erie. We googled local RV repair shops and were fortunate to find Boyer RV. They assisted us immediately and resolved the issue so we could continue safely on our trip. Josh, the service manager, really came through for us. I highly recommend them. We had sealants supposedly replaced..... very few were touched and the ones that were ether are thin, cracking, seperated from the camper or looks like my toddler did it! $1000 was charged! This company is great! I had a little emergency with my trailer and I'm not local to the area so after calling 4 other repair places and being turned down, Boyer referred me to another company and told me to call back if it didn't work out. It didn't, the other company was booked and couldn't take an emergency so I called Boyer back and they took me in immediately. My trailer wasn't what they typically work on but they understood and went out of their way to figure out the issue and overnight the parts. One day later I was back on the road and they didn't charge anything extra! In fact I'm pretty sure they were more generous than necessary. I can't recommend this company enough. Don't fall for the fake decent reviews, read the negative reviews, they're all the truth. I wish I could give this place negative stars. They will lie and scheme and then run your credit and when you come to do your trade in they will tell you they're not giving you the full price they promised. Nice people however, I'm not happy with the business. I ordered a ladder rack on the words of the man that said it would take 7-10 days. 12 days later I'm in there and they said it hasn't come in and didn't give any sign that it would be in. So they decided to take a ladder rack from somewhere else or something so anyway they had one for me. But then I'm told the price I was given and paid a down payment on didn't include the labor. For a fact I know 100% for sure I asked the guy if it Included the labor and he told me yes when I ordered it. I remember saying "I just wanted to be sure" when he told me yes and he confirmed it a second time. They were going to charge me $60 more for the labor. I know that's not a lot but still it's not what I was told. I won't be back. read more

We bought our Jayco JayFlight travel trailer from BoyerRV 2 years ago. The buying experience was fantastic, we went through Boyer to purchase our trailer brand new from the Jayco factory and ended up adding many extras. Unfortunately, the service department is nothing short of ridiculous - very unorganized and unprofessional. Keep in mind I'm talking about the actual service technicians, not the front desk folks - the front desk folks have been very nice. I have a 2 year warranty that just expired in April 2020.. here's how things have gone so far with the service department (there have been other instances, but the ones below are the most significant): Year 1 - Fall of 2018 - After a summer of camping, we had a handful of items that needed warranty work (as can be expected). I went into the store and explained each item needing repair in detail as the front desk typed them into their work order system. Over the course of the next few months, I was called in to say that everything was done and I could come pick up the trailer no less than 3 times; each time I got there and tried to pay, they told me that their system was actually indicating that most of the items had not yet been addressed, or that they had forgotten to do something, or they didn't have a record of one or more of my requested repairs in their system. This is a 1.5 hour round trip for me, and I have to take time off of work to get to Boyer before they close. Finally, when I did go to pick it up after all work had been completed, the battery was dead in the trailer and I had to sit there and charge it with my truck just enough to use the auto jack to hook it up to my truck (this was in the afternoon and everyone had gone home for the day as I was getting ready to hook up). All in all, with all warranty work and factory delays and everything else, they had my trailer the entire winter. From October 3rd to mid-April! We had plans to store it in a building but it sat outside on their lot the entire time; they didn't charge us for storage in their lot, but it was out in the elements all year. May not sound like a big deal, but after paying $33k for a brand new trailer, we wanted to protect our investment. Not happy, but with warranty items all finally fixed, we got it out for another season of camping. Year 2 - Fall of 2019 - We had a few minor issues, but one in particular was an issue with the speakers built into the awning. When we extended the awning, the speakers cut in and out, indicating to me a possible wiring issue. I explained this, again in detail, and they took the notes on their work order. When I went back in to pick it up, the front desk said the service department did not do anything with the speakers because they couldn't find anything wrong; the service department wrote User Error on the work order and included instructions for how to use the different speaker zones. I'm making the assumption based my experiences from the year before that they probably didn't even try to extend the awning to test - again though, this is my assumption. This was still pretty maddening and mind numbing, because if they paid attention to the notes on the work order, they would have understood that it's obviously an intermittent issue with the outside zone, not an issue where we didn't know how to use the zones. Year 3 - Spring of 2020 - We had Boyer winterize for us in the fall of 2019; due to COVID19, we had to cancel our spring appointment to de-winterize. I figured I could look it up, however everything I was finding online wasn't matching what I was seeing with the trailer; for example, most online content says to put the water heater plug back in as part of the de-winterization process... when I checked our's, it was already in. I started wondering if steps were skipped in the winterization process. Giving the benefit of the doubt, I called Boyer to see if they could give me a quick list of de-winterization steps in case their process is slightly different. After asking the front desk to speak with someone in the service department, I waited on hold for a bit; the front desk person came back and said the service department told her to "tell him to google it or find it on youtube." Keep in mind, I am still learning all of this and was just looking for some minor direction. Maybe the water heater plug is supposed to be in, which would be fine - I was just looking for some validation that I wasn't going to mess something up. Unbelievable. I'm not usually one to leave a poor review as I understand things happen, but over the course of 2 years, enough has happened that we are very disappointed with the service department at Boyer - we will be taking our business to Fame RV in Saegertown for all future needs. read more

We travel to Erie once or twice a year and I always go visit Boyer RV, just to walk around and see what is new as far as camper accessories, not that I need any... The staff is super friendly and always asking if I need help or have questions... I have purchased a couple things there and had them fill my gas tanks and they are great at customer service!! read more

Went there last weekend because we had a leak in the camper. When we asked if they had to part, the 1st thing the person behind the parts counter asked was did you buy are RV there. When we said no, she said she could not help us. Really, with that comment and attitude I would never every buy an RV from there. Service girl was rude and made it seem like we were keeping her away from work when she was just playing on her phone before we got there!! Boyer RV gave me the worst service I have ever had. This will be a fairly long review as I want to tell how bad Boyer RV is. Took my Camper in early to give them plenty of time to fix a leaky slide, inspect it, and fix a few other problems as I just bought the camper recently and wanted them to give it a good once over. I was told the roof and sides needed re-sealed, and I needed a new slide seal and several outside lights to pass inspection.. ok no problem I wanted it fixed correctly. 7 weeks later I call to see if I can pick up my camper and it is still not done. The day I am told to come get it they advise me they can't find the lights needed and need to order them This was of course after I was told it would be ready and I drive 2 hours to pick it up. They did give me a Sheetz card to help compensate me for my gas. Camping trip for the weekend canceled and camper had to stay at Boyers. The following Wed. I get called that camper is done. I get there and they tell me they could not fix the slide (the original problem mind you) as they did not have the proper seal and that it had a bow in it and that needed fixed (shouldn't they have told me this upon their original assessment and ordered the seal???) Well I took the camper home as we had a big trip previously planned. Once I got the camper in the light I could see there was calk or some substance all over the side of the camper that they never bothered to wash off. Also when they replaced the vent shields on the roof after caulking you could open the vents but not close them as they hit the shields. Terrible quality control. I was very reluctant but thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt and take it back for them to fix the problems they had missed.and give them a chance to earn a new customer. Big Mistake. I advised them they had 1 day to fix the issues and they said it should only take about 4-5 hours. I took the camper back on a Wednesday with an appointment for Thursday. I called on Friday and said I would be up to pick it up. (Mind you it should have been completed on Thursday) When I get there at 3:30 it appears as if they had just started on the slide repair. The rear door lock (which was suppose to be fixed the first time they had it) was still not repaired and of course the outside had not been washed. At 5:30 I finally got my camper. as they are washing it and try to inspect the repairs. The slide does work however it is not adjusted and there is a HUGE gap at the bottom. I am told there was not a vent cover on the front vent (but it was sticking on the vent when I took it in so I don't get how there wasn't one there but that is what they told me). I am told the tire is wearing and I could have a bent axle (It was inspected by them. Do they pass an inspection with a bent axle???) There were grease marks on the carpeting in the living room where the slide was repaired and they failed to calk around the ladder that they repaired. When I get home and the camper is dry it looks like a blind man washed it and there are still marks from the calking. I should also note that while I was there I head 3 other people come to get there campers and were told they were not ready yet and they would have to come back. All in all if you have an option DO NOT USE BOYER RV. read more
