I've been a manager before and you're SUPPOSED to step in and engage the customer in some way when items are out, even if it's beyond your control!! All in all, Joe is very rude! Very disrespectful! Recently come up a customer had it out with another customer and the manager. Screaming ensued, police were called and the stored was emptied because shoppers were afraid. Homeless people begging immediately outside the door and a very rough neighborhood at night, in my opinion, makes shopping here, scary. WTH is wrong with this location? Terrible oversight by upper level management otherwise they wouldn't let this kind of behavior happen at the store level. My recommendation is to shop at Walmart, Wegmans or Giant Food which is much nicer... no drama, and no fear for your life.

But wow! What a change. They all are miserable and would do everything in their power to make the customer miserable. I don't see a single employee from the older times. It's all new, bottom level workforce. If you want to work here the bar is on the floor! I have started driving a few blocks down to Wegmans - the produce is better and you don't have to fight their employees to get to the aisles. I'd avoid!

As the name suggests, there are specialty food items from all over Europe. While I saw some things like English teas, German cookies, and a few Greek items, it seemed like the majority of the offerings were from Eastern Europe. I think over half of the products had labels in Cyrillic alphabet with no translation on them in any fashion, so some things you just gotta know what it is or ask the staff. I saw a lot of things from Georgia and Ukraine, but I think I saw other products from that region (Russian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, etc.). The staff were very friendly, and cheerfully assisted me with some of the pastries we purchased. One had a nice balance of flaky pastry and fruit filling while the blintzes seemed a bit underwhelming. I also picked up a bottle of dessert wine and Children #1 and #2 picked out some candies that caught their eye. The inside is clean and somewhat small but easy to navigate. There is music playing (I don't know what language; I want to say Russian but in today's climate that could be a charged statement. Just want to say it positively adds to the vibe).
