We traveled to this area for a wedding, and found Boyce General Store after Friday night arrival, and just before it closed. What a fun place! Perfect for a Friday night informal gathering. Pizza (gluten-free crust available) Bottomless Soft Drinks, Loaded Fries (my favorite) and more. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The seating here is a little worn, but that's part of its charm. Thanks, BGS, for a good time.

You haven't had pie until you have been to Boyce. Step back in time and enjoy the southern general store decor. Drink from a glass bottle. Enjoy cuisine made from local ingredients. I recommend the tenderloin and sausage biscuits.

Boyce General Store is a great little secret that's tucked just outside of Bowling Green Kentucky, and it's a place where all the locals in the area come for authentic home cooking and dessert. Today I visited Boyce and had their Hot Chicken sandwich and it was on par with Chick-fil-a in the taste category (my only complaint was the breading wanted to fall off but it was easily fixed with my fingers haha) while the fries were fresh and the service friendly. Another benefit about Boyce is their dessert with one of the owners being titled the Pie Queen of Bowling Green, and let me tell you they didn't disappoint the Apple pie pop tart and small individual pies are all delicious. Boyce is a must visit if in the Bowling Green Area.

We decided to check out this place since we were going to be in the area picking up supplies from the Amish. The place looks like an old country store with gas. A pop through the front or side door tells you right away this is a place to Eat! There are cooler cases with drinks and milk with shelves for bread and some other things to buy. Super cool shelves down both sides of walls and all the way to the ceiling filled with nostalgic and antiquey pieces. The food is sandwiches and taters several ways for lunch and breakfast with all the fixings. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Live bands on scheduled days. Few miles from town but worth the drive. Please note..bathroom is a small one room for both genders.

Grilled Cheese with bacon and curly fries! What a great lunch!!! :)

It was Sunday June 7, 2026 around 9:00 am when we arrived. It was a mad house. We turned in on the lane that takes you directly to the gas pumps. We were driving for a while and just decided to park so we could go in and use the restroom and get something to eat. After using the spotless restroom and cleaning up, we went to get our food. As I said, the place was an absolute madhouse, but it was good madness. To see so many people packed in one place with smiles and looks of joy on their faces. Great time's. I know it's just a rest stop but it's so much more. This place just makes people happy. It was still breakfast time so they were still serving the incredible brisket tacos. I absolutely love just the brisket taco with their green salsa. It's amazing! My taco was packed with brisket and comes on the fresh made tortillas they make right there in the store. My wife loves the brisket and egg taco just plain the way it comes. They are equally as good and also loaded with brisket and a good amount of egg. After getting our food, we went and got a few of the new Buc-ee's America 250 merchandise. We just got a couple of t-shirts and a fridge magnet. There is anything you can imagine in the merchandise section. After checking out, we went to our car to eat our food. Sitting there eating we just watched a non stop line of cars pulling in. It was like it was timed perfectly. Every vehicle seemed like they were spaced out the perfect distance from one another. It was like it was choreographed. We sat there for about a half hour watching this. It was hilarious. When we finished eating, we went to fuel up before getting back on the road. This particular day the gas was $3.47 a gallon. When we got back to Cave City, the gas was $3.74. Even with all of those cars coming in, there was no waiting to get to a gas pump. Buc-ee's is a fun place to stop in and grab a snack, have some awesome brisket, pulled pork, or beef jerky. It's just a wonderful place.

--Location/Parking-- Typical Buc ee parking structure…read more Plenty of lights. Safe at night. Plenty of pumps to fill up. No fighting for parking. --Ambience-- Typical HUGE spacious place where you more of navigating through the crowd of people. --Service/Staff-- Staff varies depending on the time you visit. --Products-- Buc ee size food and drinks. I recommend the coffee. They also have various theme Buc ee items. --Capacity-- Plenty of spots and gas pumps for over 150+ people inside and outside the store. --Overall-- Safe and convenient. Be warned going during the middle of the day you will run into a big crowd.
