Lady Chastity's Reserve - The Four Thieves (Room 1), Clapham was my 156th escape room. I'm from Los…read moreAngeles, CA and I've played a number of rooms with live actors. Sometimes I'm weary of live actors, but they integrated their live actor/game host well. Ford, I believe her name was (or Gabriel, in line with the character everyone meets) was fabulous and fun. This was also the first time I've played a room where you win a bottle of wine and it was located in a bar establishment. That alone was well worth it! I've consider this room to be a first generation room (no tech), but they did a solid job. Escape rooms have become more and more elaborate, but if you can make a solid first generation room, I'd take that over finicky tech based rooms. It was dark, however, but you do get flashlights. Also, it's a creepy room and my group and I hate creepy, but it was a lot of fun for my group and I. Can't think of any jump scares. I'd definitely recommend them and would love to be back for more!
This escape room is quite something! It was very enjoyable and really well done. Don't worry,…read morethere's no spoilers in this review. You can gather and chill in the Four Thieves pub downstairs and wait for Gabriel to find you. You'll easily recognise him by his old timey garb and creepy stare. This escape room has an actual storyline you have to follow, a bit like those classic adventure games. Randomly searching for clues isn't as helpful as it is in most other escape rooms as only the storyline will help unlock the clues. The room is really well done, very dark and moody, slightly creepy but not too scary. Decor and props are fantastically made, the room tends to get quite hot though, so be aware of that when you dress for the day. The clues and riddles make sense and are all solvable if you stay on track. Overall a really good experience, would definitely recommend this one!

Clapham Common is one of the more "commonly" known commons in London. I used to live really close…read moreby when I first arrived in London so used to frequent the common quit often. In the summer the common gets super busy with people chilling out in the sun. There are also fin fairs and music festivals here too. I'm not the world's biggest fan of this place. I just find the park a little busy in the summertime for my liking but it's still a nice place to hang out if you have to. I'd say places like Battersea Park have a little more class and something a bit different to offer, as it stands, Clapham Common just seems like a big bit of flat land to me for people to get drunk and lie on, that's really all...

This is a much more open and unrestricted space compared to many of London's parks but then it is a common, which has different laws governing it and is, by definition, supposed to be freely accessible at all times. With Clapham Old Town and High Street nearby there are plenty of amenities if you want to have food or drink whilst sunning yourself, as well as bars and pubs for when it gets chilly. For me the one drawback is Clapham itself; far too white, middle class and with some pretty obnoxious people but then, when the time comes to leave the common you can always take the tube or a bus somewhere a bit more vibrant and interesting.
The warm up!

The pool is c90m long and c30 metres wide, meaning that when it is busy there is still plenty of room to swim. The water is heated by the sun, which in London means that it is take your breath away cold but once you get used to the temperature it is pleasant especially on hot days. The entrance fee for adults is around £7 which considering London prices isn't too bad. There are indoor changing rooms as well as separate outdoor changing cubicles with brightly painted doors. There is a grassy area on which to sit as well as spaces around the edge of the pool. There is also a separate paddling pool and a cafe for snacks on the site. The only downside for me is the lack of lockers to put valuables in, although you can ask staff to keep stuff in lockers in their area.

During those periods, this unheated pool is the perfect antidote. At 90m, the main pool at Tooting Bec lido is the largest open air pool in Europe. So far I've taken the hot flow class (tough!) - it is a hot vinyasa class. If you haven't done it before, definitely take it easy. Now for the hot yoga class - It's slowly growing on me but if you're someone who's been going to bikram yoga classes for a while, this version will throw you off a little bit. It feels like a bikram yoga class but with small variations (and didn't really like the pilates exercises in the heat!). I'd like to take some of the non-hot yoga classes. Yoga with weights anyone??

I wouldn't bother personally but it depends what you are using it for. I personally went for the swimming pool but found it to be quite filthy and i once felt terribly ill after using it and so never went back. Whether it was the pools fault or not i don't care, i'd rather trek uptown to Oasis and take advantage of their larger cleaner pool. The changing rooms are terrible whilst the gym was actually okay. Lots of machines and staff on hand to help out. As a cheaper alternative to the expensive chains or for those that can only train infrequently it may be of interest but for the dedicated trainer i'd choose the soho gym up the road.

I once tracked a game with GPS and ran 5k within one session. They're reasonably priced - I've bought two £50 packages, each of which covers 10 games to be used anytime - and switch between North, South, and City; once a month is an epic North vs South playoff. Before you think this is like BMF but with "childish" games, come check out a session. Everyone enjoys themselves all the time. (Compare the smiling faces of Rabblers to the scowls of any other fitness group.) Charlotte & Rosemary, who run the sessions, are encouraging and playful themselves and never want anyone to have a bad time; there are no sore losers in Rabble! It's just the right amount of competitive for those who can't dedicate so much time and energy to playing an amateur sport, and while you'll be missed if you don't show up, the team won't lose because you're not there as teams are semi-randomly assigned at the start of each session. The question remains: do you run faster when you're chasing or being chased?? Either way, I've definitely improved my fitness over the past year with this gang and had a blast to boot. All sessions end with a trip to the pub for drinks (weeknights) or lunch (weekends). It's a great crowd!

It's outdoors, so it's as fresh as you can get for London, and gosh does it make you competitive! I don't know if it's because it's team games where you're against others, or because you refuse to be out of breath and lose at a game in your twenties that you won so much in first school, but it works! Make sure you take enough water, especially if it's hot.
