We arranged catering and entertainment that perfectly complemented the program. The space easily accommodates 100+ people, and it was a fantastic experience. Thank you to the volunteers who run the program and all they do for our community. Over 5,600 dogs have been successfully partnered with their forever home with the essential help of Reach Rescue.

I did send a message to This retail, The Store and Animal Shelter and does that mean that I am no longer being considered for the dog because I wanted to allow the dog to heal and not be stressed out from being rehomed on the same exact day it was having a surgical procedure done after having just been spayed, sutured tattooed, and having a hernia repair, I again got no response, but within minutes, I saw it a dog had been removed from Adopt A Pet! Honestly, I realize that people who work in animal shelters are often stressed because of the type of work they do, and even Google as the explanation for it, I think it goes as follows...People who work in animal shelters are not universally mean or abusive, but the environment is high-stress and emotionally draining. Workers often face severe underfunding, heavy workloads, high animal intake numbers, and the constant reality of euthanasia, which can lead to compassion fatigue, burnout, and strained public interactions.Causes of Stress in SheltersCompassion fatigue: Emotional exhaustion from dealing with neglected, sick, or traumatized animals daily.Underfunding and staffing shortages: Too many animals and too few hands create overwhelming daily demands.Emotional toll: Making tough decisions about animal placement and euthanasia weighs heavily on staff.Public friction: Tensions often run high when visitors misunderstand shelter policies, space limits, or adoption requirements. not several hundred dollars will be spent somewhere where it will help animals live a long, healthy, happy and loved life, and not into the pockets of people who are obviously and just "business" for profit as such as this place.

The experience started around 10am with about 20 minutes of yoga before the goats came out, which was definitely the highlight. We got to feed the goats and continue yoga with them around us -- they were super cute and made the experience really fun and unique. After that, we were able to see the horses and cows, and then went into the baby animal area where we brushed and pet them, plus got to see baby chicks and other young animals. The session was originally supposed to run from 10-11:30, but it ended a bit earlier around 11. Overall, the yoga instructor and owner were both very nice and welcoming. The only thing was that it could've used a little more actual yoga time, but the animal experience made up for it.

The farm was closed for the private event so it was just us to the farm. We had our tour with feeding and petting and even bottle feeding. It was for sure my happy place. Though they have a lot of things for kids. There is nothing wrong with adults enjoying theirselves we did. Also they have a shop. Check it out, love it! The two ladies were wonderful I wish I was good a remembering names but they are wonderful. Highly recommend this farm either on the days they are open to the public or a special event, also they offer photography sessions great place to go with your photographer take some pics. I think they do goat yoga also. Go check it out! It truly a wonderful place, you will love it!

We we told our pup was healthy from the rescue/Vet, we still took the pup to our regular Vet after bringing him home. It turns out, he still had fleas AND had a bad ear infection (and no medication was administered for it). Neither of which were addressed during the rescue's in-take and during his care/time at the farm. After another week... and we found live worms in our pup's stools and immediately had to buy more medicine for tapeworms. I read previous reviews saying similar experiences (but given they were anywhere from 1-2 yrs ago I thought this might have been addressed with the time that had passed), but no as of Nov 2024 these are still very valid conditions to be aware of. The animals need to be further tested and treated during the adoption process (and really should be done during a quarantine period to avoid it being a constant cycle at the Farm). To add to the issue, we have other pets at home, so, unbeknownst, introducing fleas and worms to the rest of our gang, plus remediation, was very frustrating. We've also asked for the formal rabies certificate, as well as the tag... and feel like the request goes ignored. They only hand wrote in a Rabies # on the adoption paperwork which doesn't seem very valid. I'm sad I have to write a "bad" review, because we'd like to believe the rescue's intetions are in the right place. But I hope FKAR considers these similar comments/complaints going forward to truly ensure they are adopting out healthy animals.
