What a disgrace to work with this company. My 89 year old dad hired this company to manage two…read morerental properties. Once the contract was signed they held him hostage until he paid an exorbitant amount of money to "fix" all the repairs to "their" high standards. I happened to be in Texas at the time and helped with the repairs. They refused to list the property for rent while the repairs were done. Here's the catch. They charge contractors prices for repairs but pay a handyman a daily rate to do the repairs. Fortunately I'm handy enough to do much of the repairs myself. I even upgraded carpet to new wood flooring all at half the price they wanted to charge. I really felt they were taking advantage of an elderly man. Once that was said they dropped us thankfully. I would never recommend this company due to their unscrupulous business practices by misleading and taking advantage of their customers! Who does that? We went with Brickyard Property Management who we couldn't be happier with.

Wish I had read the reviews here! *WARNING* for new landlords: I hired this company expecting…read morereliable expertise, but instead, they serve less as your advisor and more as an adversary. Their advertised 24/7 renter emergency line is essentially non-functional, and crisis management is nonexistent. Severe situations are treated no differently than minor ones. It's essentially a one-PM operation, and getting on a call with him takes days! They neither have the expertise nor resources, and their vendors couldn't be more incompetent and unskilled. They claim they don't speculate causes, yet they have no issue coming up with the most bizarre reasons, with no supporting evidence either. Your rental can be brought down to the ground, but they'll state, since they weren't present at the time, they can't diagnose the cause. Since when did property managers reside at the rentals! So, who gets hit with the bill? The Landlord! Instead of sending reputable and qualified tradespersons , they send someone from a PO box company, Residential Partners/General Contractors (but their steep charges are like as if they sending A grade technicians) who provide inclusive reports, sending you on a WILD GOOSE CHASE! To this PM major repairs costing exorbitant sums of money are considered "COMMON" and they downplay the severity of the situation! What is even more appalling is they don't notify you of incidents. This is truly baffling, they deliberately break protocol, raising serious concerns about the legitimacy and credibility of this company's operations. This suggests they might either be totally unqualified or unethical or both!

This apartment and building had the potential to be an amazing home but the owner, Ryder Meehan,…read moreand rental management company Mynd have allowed it to fall into disrepair and mismanagement to the point of being unsafe to live in. Beyond that, both Ryder and Mynd are nearly impossible to get in contact with and have a pattern of attempting to take advantage of tenants. I moved out of Unit B recently and to my great surprise was informed I would be purchasing the owner a brand new, 400 dollar washing machine out of my security deposit and paying for 300 worth of cleaning even though I took two days off of work to thoroughly clean the apartment myself and the dishwasher was perfectly functional at the time I moved out. During the course of the 12 months I lived here, a gigantic leak sprung in the ceiling of my bedroom, which caused 2k worth of damage to my belongings. It took the owner and Mynd a full 48 hours and dozens of messages and calls pleading with them to fix the leak during which time I was frantically changing out pots and pans to collect the constant pouring water. The lock on the front door of our building did not work for the full year I lived here, leaving our building full of young women vulnerable to anyone from the street entering our home at any hour of the day or night. Our shared dryer was in constant need of maintenance, instead of replacing the broken dryer, the owner, Ryder Meehan, dealt with it by having each one of the 4 tenants cycle through a constant schedule of individual maintenance requests to fix the dryer after it inevitably broke again after a week. All of the tenants in 4624 Junius St bonded over how exceedingly difficult it is to get in touch with anyone at Mynd, how frustrating it is to schedule maintenance and how little it appears anyone from Mynd nor Ryder Meehan cares about the experience or safety of tenants, even in the face of serious maintenance issues. There was no point in the year that I lived here that one of the tenants did not have one or multiple active maintenance requests. Our building is old, but it seemed very apparent that no form of safety or structural inspections were performed before tenants were moved in and charged rent.  You will be financially taken advantage of and treated poorly, subject to unsafe living conditions and unable to address basic maintenance issues if you rent from here- don't do it!!!
