While I cannot review the entire law firm, I can say that my attorney was a terrible communicator. It felt like he didn't care about me at all and did as little as possible to get paid. When I would ask him for information, he had the nerve to whine to me about 'how many clients he had,' and that 'I was paranoid.' Well, sure enough, almost none of my original concerns were addressed and I ended up with a terrible settlement amount. Unfortunately, it seems like most attorneys only want the easy, slam-dunk cases these days. Anything difficult and they turn tail and run. The difficulty is that an injured worker is dependent on their attorney to seek justice for them. I contacted Boxer & Gerson initially because I thought 'Barbara Boxer's husband must have a top-notch law firm and they specialize in Workers Comp cases.' Unfortunately, having no experience as a client (who wants to be an 'experienced client' in Workers Comp litigation? No one.) I didn't realize I had picked a Turkey. I could go on and I'm sure this situation is not specific to Boxer & Gerson, but it feels good just to vent here, honestly. I got screwed by the company I worked for - and my own attorney did so little to help. My advice is: vet your Workers Comp attorney very carefully. If they are lazy and just want to 'flip your case' to get paid, with relative disregard for your outcome, move on. Unfortunately, the uninitiated will not realize this is the situation until they have been lead down the rosy path. I have no doubt that there are many fine attorneys at Boxer & Gerson. Mine, unfortunately, was not one of those. read more
