It did not take long for Boxed Inn to get our online order ready. We were able to pick up our moving bundle the following morning. Everything was packaged nicely and the gentleman brought everything to our car. So far, after having used some of the boxes for packing, we can tell they are great material. The moving bundle we got also included tape, bubble wrap and packing paper which has been SO useful. We were able to get all of the moving supplies we needed in one spot. read more

If you have the opportunity to work with their veteran mover Steve, you won't be disappointed. He's a pro! Don, the owner, is very attentive, and checked in on my move several times during the day of the move. The gents had all the tools and equipment needed and moved quickly. Today I began the process of moving to Edmonton. From the time I ordered the boxes to the movers, it was done very well and professionally. The guys came about 30 minutes earlier than expected. I had previously packed some items and needed more boxes. The guys brought some more boxes as I needed them. Then to top it off they actually helped back the remainder of the items. There wasn't much left. Even they actually informed the office to put the elevator on service at the get go. Finally I had asked them to help me move the remainder of the boxes to the post office where I would be shipping some of my items to Edmonton. For a very difficult day emotional, their stress free move was amazing. Only thing was I wish it wasn't so much. LOL read more

I looked into Boxed Inn because they were voted Etobicoke's best Mover and they lived up to the rating! I moved into my first house out in Waterloo and they offered a competitive rate, critical moving information and know-how I had not considered, and I had everything moved under quoted time. The storefront was a great place to get all my moving supplies and prep for the move. Movers were clean and respectful, had no issues, would use again! read more

The move was average, but we were over charged in my opinion. At $130 an hour I'm not paying when the driver gets "lost" and takes an hour and a half for a 40 minute drive. Also a half dozen smoke breaks at $130 an hour adds up. When we asked the management about the over charge we were tossed aside. Then when asking for a receipt we got a "I'll send an email today" that was 2 weeks ago. There's way better movers out there. read more

These guys did a great job. I had an antique fridge which needed to be crated and wrapped for a shipment to the US. They came in and made sure it was wrapped properly for the trip and at a very reasonable price. read more

Very happy with my movers! I had to move unexpectedly and learned about the moving services Boxed Inn offers when I went to purchase some boxes from them. The owner really knows his stuff and helped me out enormously! He also recommended a storage place close by. The movers were friendly and efficient. Unlike the first reviewer, I've had a very frustrating experience dealing with this mover. Firstly, the move cost me $500 more than I was quoted would be the maximum . Lesson number one: try to get a written guarantee that the cost won't exceed the estimate. Some companies will lowball you in order to get your business. I have spent 3 months speaking to the owner, phoning, and emailing pictures of the damages. What I was most upset about was the cigarette burns to my new sofa bed. When I pointed out the damages from my move , and there were quite a few, I was told the following: we don't smoke on the job (but the lead hand arrived at my door with a cigarette in his mouth), these scratches must have been here before, did you move this yourself? . Whatever damage I pointed out, there was a denial. Finally, the owner said a check would be in the mail to cover the damages. This was the end of August and now it is the beginning of October. No check and emails and phone calls are not returned. Lesson number two: take before pictures of all your valuables , and choose another mover. read more

We used boxed in moving company last night to move from Mississauga to Woodbridge. They were very pleasant at first and their owner, Dom, quoted us a price for moving and packing our things. They came on two seperate days. The first was for packing which they charged us $500 for and they didn't complete in the allocated time. Then on moving day they came in at 9am and rather than beginning the moving right away they had to continue packing the remainder of things, so they didn't even get to the second house until 6pm. By some miracle they managed to unload and reassemble everything by 11pm. Once that was done they were demanding more money after we had paid them the remainder of their balance which was $800.00 in cash. What they did next was grand larceny and extortion. They took off with the moving truck and our electronics inside. Me, being 4 months pregnant and my mother the only other person with me we drove after them. They held our electronics hostage calling us "Cheap-ass bitches" and telling us that they would be keeping our electronics as collateral. Specifically this twenty something kid with glasses who goes by the name of Tony said he was going to do his boss' dirty work since we weren't going to pay him. I phoned Metro's 33 division and advised them that our movers were holding our electronics hostage at the corner of kipling and queensway. They advised me to stay calm and keep them there. I told Tony that today for doing his boss' dirty work he would be going to jail, because there was no way any police officer worth his salt would believe him over a poor defensless pregnant woman and her mother. As soon as the sirens were heard He unloaded our stuff and peeled out of the company driveway with force. The police were there in 10 mins and we filed a report with them for attempted grand larceny and extortion as that is what they did. Apprently the company is known to them, hence why they came so quickly. So my best advice is to run and get everything in Writing! They have lots of moving supplies but using them as movers, I have mixed feelings. The interactions I had with the main contact person were disorganized. I had given my credit card info for first hour of deposit and the very next day upon confirming details, I was asked for my info again to confirm moving date. After agreeing on 2 movers, and confirming this the day before, three movers actually showed up on the morning of the move. Upon asking the main contact about this, I had no response from him all day. At the end of the day, I had requested a receipt to be emailed to me. He didn't until I asked him about it 2 days later. He responded within minutes with just the scan of the receipt. I replied and asked him again about whether I was in fact charged for 3 people, and no response. Disappointing as the movers we had were good but the contact person is disorganized and somehow snuck in a third person, and charged me for it, when that wasn't agreed upon in our emails. A friend who had also used them recommends to get quotes and everything in writing. read more

Do NOT use them!!! Boxes went missing!! Don, Dave and his son helped me move, and conveniently a few boxes full of alcohol went missing while I was moving...hmmmm...they had no explanation for these boxes missing when I knew what I had...DON'T TRUST THEM!!!! after calling them numerous times they never returned my calls and just ignored me to this day, it has now been over a year.
