They've had so much…read morepatience working with my little 12 lb poodle mix who is very anxious and afraid of her own shadow except when she's in our apartment then becomes very territorial (think reactive barking like she's freaking out). Background: We've tried dog daycares for Evie from when she was only a few months old (Just Pet Me in Oakland, Metro Dog in Richmond and Camp Bow Wow in Concord). Unfortunately, socializing her this way did not help. We stopped taking her altogether when she was about a year old because when we were able to monitor her via a cam, we saw that she was a little wall flower, refusing to socialize with the other dogs. They'd often crate her as well because of this. We were nervous that this was making her more reactive or anxious. Working with Gabby: To get connected with Gabby was easy. My partner reached out and she was really fast with responding and setting up a meet and greet. We were very nervous and thought Evie might do terribly for the meet and greet because she's very territorial with our apartment. And of course, that's exactly what happened. When Gabby came over, Evie was very unfriendly, barking and freaking out whenever Gabby made any movements. Gabby was very patient with her and decided to do a test run and walk her around our complex. Evie was fine when she was on the actual walk. While Evie is still scared of her own shadow and learning to socialize, we've seen her make some progress specifically outside. Typically, she gets scared and barks when people say hi to her. I've noticed there's a little less of that now. In addition, Gabby is really thoughtful in how she creates packs. She matches based on temperament and tries to meet your dog's needs as best as she can. Evie, for instance, is a little wary around highly energetic pups but does well with lower energy dogs or older dogs. Gabby factored all of this in when creating a pack that would work. Since the service is set up to pick up Evie, it's very convenient. In addition, Gabby's team members have all been very patient with Evie and her quirks and are able to successfully pick her up. Evie has slowly been adjusting to them which has been great as we try to widen her social circle. This is a great service for anyone looking to socialize their dog in a healthy, thoughtful way.

After I left an honest review about my experience, they responded by threatening to sue both me and a rescue I volunteered with at the time. That alone should raise serious concerns about how they handle accountability. I visited daily for the entire month my dog was there, so what I'm saying is based on what I personally saw over and over again--not a one-time impression. Their "training" methods included physically poking dogs in the side and neck. The dogs did not appear to be properly fed and did not have consistent access to water. Over that month, I watched dogs lose weight, become withdrawn, and show clear signs of stress and shutdown behavior. I also personally saw a dog who was extremely underweight, had visible sores, and smelled strongly of urine and feces, as if she had been left sitting in it. No dog should ever be in that condition--especially in a place people are paying to care for and train their animals. It honestly concerns me that they still have positive reviews, because in my experience, the longer a dog stays there, the more concerning the changes become. I'm posting this again now because someone I know recently considered bringing a foster dog there. I made it very clear that no dog in my care will ever go anywhere near this place. If you care about your dog, do your research, ask questions, and trust what you see. I would strongly urge anyone considering this facility to visit frequently and unannounced.

I said "excuse me" multiple times to get his attention while walking towards him, but he ignored me, dragging this poor doodle by his neck and collar to get to the van quicker. When I finally reached him, I got a quick "what" while basically throwing this dog into a van filled with other dogs unrestrained and jumping around. I told him he shouldn't be on his phone and needs to slow down when driving through a residential lot. He wouldn't look at me, but said he wasn't on his phone. I told him either way, he was going entirely too fast. He jumped in the drivers seat and slammed the door, still not looking at me. So I raised my voice saying it was incredibly unsafe how fast he was going and that he almost hit my car. Still ignoring me, he again sped off to get out of our apartment complex. If you use this service, beware. Based on photos, this may be the business owner, Matt. He was in a huge rush, was speeding and jerking the car around, not kind when walking this dog to his van, yanked him in, and then sped off again. With the dogs being unrestrained and his reckless driving, that could lead to injuries to those dogs. And to top it all off, he was INCREDIBLY rude after almost causing an accident! A little niceness and an apology would have gone a long way. Now, I will make sure none of my loved ones will ever use this service.
