I really don't suggest ever coming here for anything unless you are trying to get high or robbed. do not set your expectations high for this place it's Dapto why would you wanna go there anyway. I feel sorry for the families that were forced to grow up there and parents whose idea was it to move there are you horny drug dealers or something.

However, this actually includes the XPT that heads to Melbourne and Canberra and is also the terminus for the Southern Highlands service. The station is quite close to the main shopping area, and also has quite a few buses that stop here as well. Oh, and they still have the old building here as well.

The train station is always clean with a lot of passengers going into the city to work. I have been catching the train for decades since I was 17 years old. In winter I would sit in those old trains freezing cold. Now you get the Tangara trains which is fast & convenient.

Then again, in the grand scheme of things, particularly when it comes to railway stations, it probably is new. Anyway, this is the station that you DON'T get off at if you want to go to the airport. The reason I mention this is that apparently a lot of people do, and then get really confused when they can't find the airport. It's an okay station otherwise, though they should have a big 'NOT THE AIRPORT' scrawled all over it (though they used to call it Suburban).
