I would make a comment about there being a bus interchange here, but considering that this happens…read moreto be a major regional station then that sort of goes without saying. Still, it is a rather nice station that happens to be reasonably close to the town centre, and not only is it accessible, but it has quite a few facilities as well. I guess the issue is that there doesn't really seem to be all that many trains that go through here, particularly since Wollongong really isn't a small city. In fact, it probably would be helpful is some trains simply ran along this section of line as opposed to going all the way into Sydney.

I probably should move away from calling places like Mascot Station new, since it is probably…read moresomething like 20 years old now. Then again, in the grand scheme of things, particularly when it comes to railway stations, it probably is new. Anyway, this is the station that you DON'T get off at if you want to go to the airport. The reason I mention this is that apparently a lot of people do, and then get really confused when they can't find the airport. It's an okay station otherwise, though they should have a big 'NOT THE AIRPORT' scrawled all over it (though they used to call it Suburban).
