After receiving a text my medication was ready, I shouldn't have to wait 1+hour in drive thru line to pickup or have to pull around twice because they didn't have my insurance applied to medication. Based on recent Pharmacy/Covid Testing Services experience:…read more On 1/26/22 at 1:00 pm, my husband and I completed Covid Testing at this location. My husband's testing appointment was scheduled for 1:00 pm and mine was scheduled for 1:10 pm. We arrived a little before 1:00 pm and proceeded to the Drive Thru Lane, there were 3 vehicles in already waiting. When we checked in at the window, the male staff member (I'm sorry I do not remember his name) was extremely professional and efficient. He immediately asked my husband if there was anyone else testing in the vehicle and he processed my appointment at same time. In other words, we did not have to circle the building and I did not have to wait until 1:10 pm to complete my test. This was not only extremely efficient, it was, in my opinion, extremely compassionate. We very much appreciate it! We were not feeling well so the sooner we could get back home and get back in bed the better. The test process is set up very well! It is almost No Contact but I don't think there is anyway that it could be made completely No Contact. I felt very safe taking this test and I was not concerned about accidentally exposing anyone. You must schedule your testing appointment online. You check in through a closed window via an intercom with the CVS staff member. They ask you to verify your name and date of birth, as well as the confirmation number associated with your test (confirmation number is sent via text to your cell phone) then they give you the kits to perform the test yourself in your car. The test are sent out a drawer, not through an open window. After you complete the test, you place the completed specimen in a drop box just passed the check in window. Staff even supplies antibacterial cleaning wipes for you to disinfect the box lid before and after you touch it. The male staff member made sure we knew the process and even though we said that we understood the process and that we had watched the Instruction Video, he still walked us through the process. Wow! What great customer service! Throughly educated, we were able to complete our tests and drop them in the box. CVS texts you the results of your test. We received ours the next evening, a little more than 24 hours later. I really do not feel that you can ask for a quicker turnaround time. I must applaud the efficiency and quickness of the lab staff in this process (lab is not owned by CVS & tests are not processed onsite). One more compliment for this location, when my husband and I were searching for test sites, this location was the only store that had testing appointments available in a 40 mile radius. We are so thankful that there were appointments available the next day and did not mind driving 22 miles to make the appointments. I highly recommend this location for Covid Testing! Hopefully, all CVS locations are as efficient as this store. If so, I would say that I recommend testing with CVS period.

My dog his name is Taco is my best buddy. He has many health issues. I arrived at this CVS on CatawbaValley Blvd. In Hickory NC at 430 pm they close at 7. She said she would not fill it until the next day. I asked why and Ashley became belligerent, short and very disrespectful. Completely uncaring for my animal. Because Taco has a callopsed trachea and congestive heart failure. Along with Kidney disease. Ashley, when I arrived was doing absolutly nothing but chatting with a coworker behind the counter. Laughing and having a good time. I told her that i really need this medicine for the evening so Taco could sleep. She stated plainly that she didn't care about my dog and his problems. I was dumbfounded. WTH!!! She further stated that she wouldnt fill it without my Vet's DEA number. I said well call the Vet. The vet I use was still working until 5. She wouldn't do it. So I walked out to the parking lot and called my Vet and told her what was going on. She said she would call Ashley herself. And she did. My vet called me back a few minutes later and she said that Ashley really was a bi?ch. Even to the Vet. I wasnt able to get Taco's meds that night and of course taco had a really bad night as did I. All because of an apathetic rude uncaring individual named Ashley at the CVS store in Hickory. Ashley is a very shady character. No integrity. Absolutly none. Obviously hates animals. She really needs to get a solitary job where she is absolutly alone. She has zero people skills. Or empathy towards animals. I'll go out on a limb and state that she probably supports the Trump administration.

When I finally got to speak with someone, I showed them my phone and the fact that I was still on hold WITH THEM, a call that had started nearly 40 minutes earlier while I was still at home. After talking to the person behind the counter - who was rude, condescending and completely not helpful - I left Walgreens and drove to the CVS a mile or so south, still listening to the "on hold" recording that promised someone would help me shortly. Did I mention this was my third call to this same Walgreens in two days and that my doctor's office had called them twice in the past 24 hours regarding this same issue? As I was walking into the CVS, someone actually answered the call that had kept me on hold for now almost an hour. (I was stubborn enough to see just how long it would take.) Answering the call, I explained that I was about to walk into the CVS to move my account there. Thankfully, I'll never have to deal with this particular Walgreens again.
