He tells me whether I need to come in right away, or not. I have been a UC Davis patient, but because of their wait times, I find I can get in to see Dr. Kasch, get the biopsy results, get to the surgeon, have the Mohs surgery, all completed before even getting an appointment with a dermatologist through John Muir. Dr Kasch does not take insurance, but his fees are reasonable, and the other costs (lab biopsy, surgery, medications) are all covered by medicare.

Dr. Kasch is an extremely goofy older gentleman who made the whole experience fun and comforting! He explained things well and is a funny guy! I came to get a black head removed, soon to be explained a cyst instead, and Dr. Kasch talked through the whole procedure, providing a smooth and excellent experience. Sadly, I do not insurance, but that's never a deterrent when I find a great medical specialist.
