    Looking for AC maintenance? I tried to schedule a maintenance appointment today and somehow ended up in a time loop of confusion and finger-pointing. Apparently, my annual service contract expired, was canceled? ... disappeared into thin air ? because--plot twist--the technician forgot to schedule my next appointment. Or maybe customer service forgot. Depends on who you ask. all I know is, I asked the technician about it at the end of my last appointment and he assured me it would be taken care of. By the time I spoke to Haley (7/21/25), who clearly hadn't had her Monday coffee yet, I was about ready to climb onto the roof and clean the coils myself, ...oh wait I did ! Professional tip: if your company can't decide whose job it is to click a calendar button, maybe don't offer annual contracts ... they're now booking maintenance calls a month out, which is adorable considering how urgent Florida heat can be. Not the kind of "cool" I was hoping for. I was quoted $95 for a diagnostic visit if I wanted to have somebody come sooner than one month! From someone who has been receiving your services since 2021 ... Extremely disappointing. Don't worry if I want to pay the $95 and the $150 contract fee they will be happy to reinstate my canceled contract, smh. Another different company came out the next day and gave me a new person discount of $68, had friendly Office staff, and the technician seemed knowledgeable too. Learn to treat your customers with some kindness it will go along way- if u want cheap prices with attitude and mixed service this appears to be your place.

    NOT RECOMMENDED: Unprofessional service. After 2 years of complaining without success about high humidity inside home to Bowersox service techs at each semi-annual visit, I finally decided to enlist a professional assessment where I learned just how badly my system was designed, installed, and maintained. Background: purchased home in fall 2020; Bowersox performed the pre-purchase inspection giving the system and equipment a satisfactory performance rating without noting any discrepancies. However Quality Control installed the system despite Bowersox's stickers and notes on the air handler. On their latest and last visit this past fall and the usual complaints about high humidity (chronically at 66-77%), Bowersox's tech's solution was to purchase a portable de-humidifier for the living room. Really?! The system is less than 5 years old and should work as intended. Furthermore the tech informed me the ultraviolet lamp system is working well. Funny, but the tech did not open the air handler panel or he would've found a burned out bulb and fully disconnected unit. Final straw. We cancelled the semi-annual tech service and brought in true professionals who performed a load calc and passed along their evaluation: improperly built air boxes that were collapsing in on themselves, plenums improperly constructed using wall insulation, tape and mastic for structure, spliced and criss-crossed ducting lying on top of one another and not suspended, air leaks all over, and, to top it off, an unsecured air handler with a non-secured, warped drip pan. We also learned our AC unit is 1 ton too large for the house, which lead to short cycling. In other words, the system would cool the house too quickly and shut off without allowing enough time for evaporating moisture. To be fair, the oversized unit (4 ton vs. 3 ton) was likely needed to compensate for the old windows and doors replaced by us with hurricane rated and better sealed windows and doors. Regardless, the poor design and installation of the air flow system contributed significantly to the interior humidity which a professional service provider would have identified and made proper recommendations for remediation. In conclusion: Bowersox is NOT RECOMMENDED

    They installed the downstairs new air handler horizontal on the ceiling verse vertical on the floor as the old one was.
