Heather was energetic from the start and genuinely seemed interested in understanding our business, to make sure I left with a plan that fully covered what we needed it to. I appreciated that she was willing to take the time to better explain aspects that I was unsure about, but didn't eat up either of our time by over-explaining details that were already understood. Heather didn't try and up-sell me additional policies or make me feel obligated to bundle my other insurances with her, but instead offered a few suggestions on policies I should consider later on, as the business expands. I received two other quotes, from different brokers before stopping in today and both quotes were sent to me, from submitting an online form and without me actually talking with someone. While the quoted amounts weren't as bad as I thought they'd be, I felt as though it would be better to talk to someone and make sure I even knew what the heck I was needing. I was honestly willing to pay more for the insurance, just to have the peace of mind that it's correct, but here's the best part; The policy that Heather set me up with, was about 28% cheaper than the first two! I highly recommend!

I am not surprised to see the only other review is about her treating a senior citizen poorly. Sounds exactly right. My sibling and I started helping our father with his finances as his health declined in his 90s. He had been an Allstate customer for many years with the same insurance needs, but we noticed that our dad had a new, unnecessary, overly robust policy that was implemented right after Katherine took over this office. We asked our dad about it, and he said he didn't want it and didn't remember buying it. We contacted Katherine and asked how to cancel that policy, and she said we had to come into her office to pick up a form. When we arrived at her office, she said the form wasn't necessary and the policy would be canceled and refunded. However, she did not cancel and refund the policy, and she continued to charge our dad's debit card for premium payments. When we noticed the policy was still active and Katherine was still charging our dad, we called her and left a voicemail asking why the policy hadn't been canceled. She didn't return our call, so we looked into other insurers. We took our dad's business to State Farm, and Katherine still did not cancel the policies. We went into her office with power of attorney and proof of new insurance, and she claimed that State Farm had never sent her a declaration as notice our dad had switched insurers (not true - we confirmed with State Farm). Katherine said she needed us to bring in the declaration document (that State Farm had already sent her), which we did a few days later, and Katherine said all policies would be canceled and refunded. A month and a half later, our dad's Allstate policies still weren't canceled and refunded. We stopped by Katherine's office and left a message with the receptionist asking Katherine to call us, but she never called. We stopped by again and her receptionist said, "Katie told me to tell you the refunds just got caught up in the system and everything is taken care of now." Given that Katherine had been repeatedly dishonest with us, we followed up with her by email to get confirmation. Katherine replied to our email and said that even though we never brought the power of attorney into her office, she had just issued a refund in "good faith" for $74. The full refund due for all policies was over $550 (and we were only asking for a refund as of the day our dad switched to State Farm; we did not ask for the one policy to be refunded as of the first time we tried to cancel it, because we just wanted to be done with Katherine). We refreshed her memory with the exact dates of the two times we came into her office to provide all the documents she said were necessary to cancel all policies, including power of attorney. She did not respond to that email. We followed up several more times over the course of the next few weeks, asking Katherine what else she needed from us, requesting an appointment to meet with her, and offering to bring any documents to her office again to get this finally resolved. We even directly asked her to please stop making it impossible to cancel so our family could focus on other things during a difficult time. She insisted $74 was the full refund amount and ignored our last two emails. Then our dad died. We had been going in circles with Katherine for months at this point, so we filed a complaint. Katherine lied and told the complaint reviewer that she had requested documents from us that we refused to provide. We were grateful that the last month of our efforts was documented in writing, because Katherine's story was easily disproven by forwarding the email correspondence as well as all the documents she claimed we wouldn't provide. The complaint reviewer apologized, and the full refund was issued (an additional $478). There are other disturbing details that I've left out for the sake of brevity. Katherine is deeply unethical, unprofessional, and predatory. The way she runs her business and the terrible way she treats people, especially vulnerable, low-income senior citizens like our dad, is disgraceful.
