We absolutely loved this daycare service for, Tato & Chip! The convenience was unbeatable -- they'd get picked up right from home and whisked off to a fully fenced, off-leash open space where they could run, play, and just be happy dogs. They thrived all year round and always came back tired, content, and well-cared for. Tato can be a little weird in a big pack of dogs. But in this environment, she was happy and acclimated very quickly. I would see how happy she was on the instagram posts--she's never like that at home or at the dog park. Like with any daycare or hike in California, it's smart to keep your dogs on flea/tick prevention. During high season, we did have to pull a couple ticks off our pups, but that's just part of living in California -- not a reflection on the owner or the service. Most of the year it was never an issue. We were so sad when we moved because we know we'll never find anyone quite like Craig where we are now. I wanted to post an updated review as we've been with Craig for years now. I can always count on Craig to be honest and forthcoming with me about anything that has occurred. My dogs are a unique crew I have two Rhodesian ridgebacks 5 and 9 years old males and they still always come home tired. Craig will tell me if my boys are acting up or if they need a break. He also takes out my 12.5 year old Kerry beagle. They know he's the pack leader and that's what makes it work. He is amazing with my dogs and I trust him . Craig is always on top of the pack and knows what is going on. I trust him with my pups and access to my home. If something does come up Craig will let me know asap read more

We have been using Craig since March of this year and our pups love it. They are pretty good on leash but when it's time for them to get picked up they pull to get to truck as quickly as possible. They love Craig and they love going to see their friends every day. They seem to get about two hours of free time at the ranch which is plenty in my opinion. We get pictures occasionally which is awesome and we have grown to completely trust Craig with our dogs while we are away at work. He is very responsive and a very kind person. I would highly recommend his services because you can tell that the dogs just aren't locked in a crate all day. The dogs always come back a little dirty and very tired! I think that are in the car for a period of time during drop off and pick up so just make sure they pee before and after drop off. Craig is awesome! We started looking for walker/daycare options when our Vizsla pup hit ~6mos and his puppy naps came to an abrupt halt (and so did our work time). We needed a flexible, professional provider *pronto* and we combed through quite a few options before finding Craig and Bow Wow Ranch. We are so, so happy we did. Craig takes our Vizsla out to Bow Wow Ranch 3x/week. Our pup races to the door as soon as he hears Craig's truck pull up, and he comes home happy and absolutely wiped--we're talking returning home to out for the evening in under five minutes. For anyone unfamiliar with the breed, they're pointers with a famously inexhaustible energy source, and it's an incredibly impressive feat. On the human side, you couldn't hope for a better pup provider. Craig is the utmost professional; he's friendly, flexible, super responsive, and takes a lot of care and pride in his business. He notices when something looks off (intro'd a new food), offers suggestions for training (excited maniac on leash), connects us with other dog owners (for puppy play dates), and sends fantastic and often hilarious update pics (for our piece of mind and entertainment). My partner and I are so thankful to have Craig taking care of our 2 dogs 3x/week. It takes so much off our plate when Craig picks them up from the house, runs and plays with the dogs for hours on his huge ranch, and then drops them off at the end of the day. I don't feel great leaving a bad review when I didn't address my concerns directly to the owner, but my friends encouraged me to post this so other dog owners considering using Bow Wow Ranch know about my experience. My puppy went to 3 days with Craig. First, it's important to know that the dogs are loose in his van/truck, and that's their first introduction to each other each morning. It didn't even occur to me to ask this when we interviewed Craig because I assumed the dogs would be crated in the vehicle. I only found out because I was home during pickup. This is incredibly unsafe, both in case of a car accident and also dog fights. The second day my dog went to Bow Wow Ranch, I was home when Craig dropped him off, and my dog had his only accident ever in the house immediately when he returned. I was surprised...why would he be holding so much pee when he was running through fields all day? The next day, I kept an eye on his collar's air tag. He was picked up around 8:30am, and then was moving up and down the peninsula all morning. He was at the field in Milpitas from 1-2:30pm, and then back in the truck from 2:30 until he was dropped off at 6pm. That's 8 hours loose in a hot truck with lots of dogs, and an hour and a half of field time. This seemed like a recipe for disaster so I decided not to send my dog there again. read more

He's the best around - by far! I have a 95 lb. Golden Doodle named Webster who thrives under the care of Craig Bowsher at the Bow Wow Ranch. He spends quality dog time, off-leash, in the company of other great dogs, on a beautiful, 5-acre fenced property where he runs around to his heart's content, rolls in the grass, sniffs everything, explores, and takes breaks whenever the mood strikes him. It's a dog's life! He's gone for several hours, he comes home happy and tired, and ready for a nap. Webster gets this kind of exercise on a regular basis and people are surprised that he's 9 years old because he still acts like a puppy. I credit this to Craig and the Bow Wow Ranch experience. Craig is reliable, professional, AND flexible. He stays in touch by text primarily but will answer the phone if I call. He swings by to pick up Webster in the morning and returns him in the afternoon (usually after the morning commute and before the evening commute is thick). The rates are reasonable, services are billed monthly, and both electronic and check payments are accepted. Webster and I have been with Craig for 7 years now! He knows dogs and he'll say something to me if he notices something amiss. He gets a 5-star rating from me as well as my gratitude. I believe he's the best. My two dogs go with Craig and his puppy crew every day, and they love it!! They come home happy and completely worn out! Craig is professional, responsible and a total dog lover. My pups can't wait to go back each day. I've sent my dogs to daycare which is way more expensive and my dogs never get any real exercise being locked in a room all day. Craig is as good as it gets. When on-boarding us and our Shepard-Husky mix, he took the time to come to us to vet him and understand how pick-up and drop-offs will work. Beau is 90+ lbs and high energy which some services passed on where Craig told us he loves a good challenge and accepted him with open arms. Beau was reluctant at first to hop in the truck but fast forward to today and he can't wait for Craig to come by and grab him -- we come home to an exhausted and happy dog every time.
